Aircraft End-of-Life Solutions (AELS) has purchased one Airbus A330-223 from Portuguese operator TAP. The aircraft will be flown to Twente Airport around the end of July. AELS will disassemble and dismantle the aircraft according to the highest industry standards. As this is AELS’ first A330 acquisition the website www.A330stock.com is also launched.
The A330, MSN 195, with registration CS-TOI, has been operated by TAP since 2007. The aircraft initially flew for Austrian Airlines. TAP named the aircraft Damião de Góis. This Portuguese philosopher worked in the Netherlands of the 16th century from 1523 until 1544 where he also married a local girl. He is therefor also known as Damiaan van der Goes, a very Dutch name. A remarkable coincidence in this Portuguese-Dutch transaction.
AELS is looking forward receiving this aircraft at our facility after almost 22 year of reliable and safe service. TAP will replace the aircraft with new and more efficient A330NEO aircraft.
AELS - FacebookNote to community around Twente Airport. Due to an understandable request from our neighbours and partners AELS has changed its policy. We will no longer communicate the date and time when we expect an aircraft to arrive.
