Ik had even de gedachte om de boeken te gaan lezen waar de serie op is gebaseerd, maar even googlen levert op dat de tv serie totaal anders is dan het originele verhaal, dus dat laat ik maar achterwege.

Je merkt dat je echt into een serie bent, als onverwachte acties van main characters je totaal shockeren.

Ik kijk weinig series, en er zijn slechts enkelen die me echt boeien.
Buffy was ik destijds echt helemaal gek van, Veronica Mars was heel leuk.
Eerste 3 seizoenen van House waren briljant, Sons of Anarchy vond ik ook geweldig.

The Flash seizoen 1 en 2 waren goed, 3 moest ik echt doorheen bijten.
Blindspot seizoen 1 was sterk, seizoen 2 minder maar op het einde wel weer goed.
Legends of Tomorrow seizoen 1 heel leuk, seizoen 2 had een paar sterke aflevering maar ook veel geskipt.

The 100 is de eerste serie in jaren die ik achter elkaar kijk, maar ook "bang" ben voor de ontwikkelingen die de karakters door gaan maken.

Goed voor de zomer. Geen sterke serie kwalitatief gezien. Kijkt wel goed weg en is zeker goed te doen voor liefhebbers van series als True Blood, Charmed, Angel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, etc. Ik kijk em ook wel door. Beetje guilty pleasure serie.

Hoeft geen fout te zijn. Die andere personen kunnen iets achtergebleven zijn en buiten het shot vallen. Toiletteren bijvoorbeeld of iets anders. Om dit nu een continuïteitsfout te noemen.

The Shield is van Fx. Misschien andere FX series als Justified of Sons of Anarchy? Zelf zou ik de laatste links laten liggen en dan gaan voor Justified. Staat op Amazon Prime.

Hoewel de eerste twee seizoenen van Sons wel echt goed zijn. Vanaf seizoen 5 zeg maar ging het zwaar bergafwaarts. Sons staat op Netflix

Southland is een serie over de politie. Ook een rauwe serie.

The Shield is een klassieker. Anders gaan voor een andere klassieker als The Wire of The Sopranos. Weinig series kunnen zich namelijk meten met het niveau van The Shield. Wordt heel moeilijk om series van dat niveau aan te raden.

The Shield is een klassieker. Anders gaan voor een andere klassieker als The Wire of The Sopranos. Weinig series kunnen zich namelijk meten met het niveau van The Shield. Wordt heel moeilijk om series van dat niveau aan te raden.

Justified vond ik na seizoen 1 meer een vrouwen serie worden, het begon redelijk.

Hopelijk is het wat

Mij is geadviseerd dat als je van SF houd je beter Discovery kunt skippen voor Orville.

In eerste instantie was ik blij dat er een nieuwe ST serie werd gemaakt maar na gehoord te hebben dat de serie volledig gaat breken met alle continuiteit en lore uit de originele series en ze er alles aan gaan doen om de serie "SJW approved" te maken hoeft het van mij niet meer.

Jammer dat je bij voorbaat het al afkraakt zonder een aflevering gezien te hebben
Ik ben ook een groot ST fan, maar ik heb minder problemen dat ze de ST universe aanpassen, met al die vele afleveringen en karakters was je anders heel gebonden wat je kon doen om het nog interessant te maken, alles was al een keer gedaan.
Ze beginnen een beetje met een schone lei, en verhalen en de karakters aan te passen aan hedendaags stijl, voor een nieuw publiek.
de ommezwaai van de Original naar Next Gen was ook veel veranderd, en voegde ook heel veel toe, maar dat op een gegeven moment overal de Borg e.d. erbij werd gehaald, begon het een beetje suf te worden,
DS9 heeft met de Dominion en Enterprise met de Xindi, nog iets origineels ervan proberen te maken.

Dit soort opmerkingen snap ik nooit zo goed. Dat je gaat kijken of niet, dat is aan je zelf. Ik snap dat mensen moe worden van 'Social Justice Warriors', maar wat is er mis mee om op het grote en kleine scherm minderheden meer kansen te geven? Mensen doen vaak alsof dat een bad thing is, maar het is toch normaal dat velen toewillen naar een beeld op het scherm dat meer lijkt op de werkelijkheid. Ook al is dit dan in dit geval een SF-serie.

Probleem is meer dat het meer "geforceerd" gebeurd en daardoor een goede serie kan verpesten.
Zwart, aziaat, homo, lesbisch (transgender?); het hebben van een mix is "verplicht". Als het door een goed(!) verhaal er verborgen inzit, prima. Maar vaak gaat het ten koste van het verhaal, dat daardoor "voorspelbaar" wordt. Of de karakters gaan rare dingen doen (kijk maar hierboven de trailer van Shannara Chronicles S2).

Star Trek ging altijd al over een utopische samenleving en liep bijv voorop met een zwarte en vrouwelijke captain. De federation is altijd een stel hippies geweest. Je bent gewoon totaal de doelgroep niet als dit je tegen je hoofd stoot.

Zojuist de eerste 6 episode gezien en de spanning zit er goed in, wat een fantastische serie zeg!

Psychologische thriller en ik krijg er een beetje een Homeland gevoel bij (Toen de serie nog echt goed was).
