Hallo tweakers,
ik ben een niet ervaren ASUS-gebruiker en heb sinds de overgang van Telfort naar KPN een probleem met mijn ASUS router aangezien KPN blijkbaar anders werkt (PPPOE en routed IPTV).
Ik heb veel van de berichten op het forum gelezen en ben aan het stoeien gegaan met ‘scripting’ en VLAN (un)tagging, best lastig voor mij.
Toch wil ik proberen om weer van de ExperiaBox af te komen en alleen de ASUS het werk te laten doen vanwege de vele voordelen die ik daarmee had o.a. een beter Wifi bereik en VPN. (zoals ik ook voorheen met Telfort heb gedaan maar toen kon het eenvoudiger via de ASUS gui ;-)
En ik heb ‘m nu toch al, dus waarom wegdoen...
Even een overzichtje van mijn acties.
Bij PPPOE setting mijn KPN gegevens ingevuld = “MAC-adres ExperiaBox”@internet en ww: kpn (schijnt allemaal niet uit te maken lees ik, als je maar iets invult).
Ik heb een ASUS RT-AC88U met Merlin firmware 384.15.
Allereerst heb ik JFFS scripting aangezet:
De eerste optie heb ik ook geprobeerd bij de eerste keer en daarna de script- en config-bestanden op de ASUS gekopieerd middels WinSCP.
Voor IPTV heb ik de beide IGMP opties aangezet.
Bij ISP profiel kiezen heb ik maar ‘Geen’ gekozen en bij de STB-IPTV poort de LAN-poort 4 voor zover dat enige toegevoegde waarde heeft na het scripten.
Ik heb verder de welbekende scripts gebruikt en onder de voorgeschreven mappen gekopieerd:
jffs/scripts/
wan-start
vlan4-script
nat-start
jffs/configs/
dnsmasq.conf.add
igmpproxy.conf
In wan-start heb ik een paar zaken gewijzigd m.b.t. de 88U:
Ik heb bij de VLAN4 poort settings de CPU-poort voor de 88U aangepast naar 8t i.p.v. 4t of 5t in andere voorbeelden die ik zag.
In nat-start staat nog het volgende dat mij opviel: “echo 0 …..” en dan een mapstructuur waarbij op mijn ASUS de map /vlan4 en daaronder het bestand rp-filter niet bestaat (?) Misschien zal dat automatisch aangemaakt moeten worden na herstart?
Ik heb verder nog een IP-adres aangepast in dnsmasq.conf.add naar mijn eigen IP-reeks:
dhcp-option=vendor:,1,IPTV_RG
dhcp-option=28,
192.168.2.255
Middels Putty SSH-client (robocfg) heb ik de config-bestanden op de ASUS ‘executable’ gemaakt (chmod a+rx /jffs/config/*)
Na herstart van de ASUS gebeurt er echter helaas helemaal niets. Het lijkt alsof de scripts niet worden gestart. Onderstaand een stukje schone logging na herstart van de ASUS.
De router neemt ook geen IP-adres aan van KPN

kortom er lijkt niets te gebeuren, de scripts lijken niet te ‘starten’.
Kan iemand mij mss iets verder helpen? Ik doe natuurlijk ergens wat fout…
