I occasionally drop by the Metz site to check if the long promised P-TTL adapter for Pentax models is available I was astonished to find that Metz now lists the SCA 3702M as compatible with the D, DS, DL (!) and K100D. Checking in this forum I found that seems to be the case at least since July (found one thread mentioning it, but without really trusting the info).
I immediately mailed Metz to confirm that the 3702 now really supports the cameras mentioned. I got the reply that P-TTL is still not supported, only standard A-Mode. No news here.
But at least the friendly technician who answered my mail mentioned that they were actually working right now on the P-TTL issue and that I should check back in October. We'll see if this really will be true. I'll keep you informed!

Update: I just got an additional mail from Metz support. The gist:
1) DL and K100D are supported with the existing 3702 in A mode only.
2) DS and D with their "kind of pseudo TTL" technology (my translation, but interesting anyway, huh?!) are basically supported in TTL mode, but work best in the medium aperture range and with ISO 200 and 400. My comment on this: Of course no news here, and in my experience TTL does work pretty well also with apertures out of the medium range - exactly as good (or bad) as with older TTL Pentax flashes. The "kind of pseudo TTL" technology of the D and DS seems to be the key here Would really like to know more about that ...
3) and most important:
Metz expects a signficant increase in demand for Pentax SLRs. Due to that changed situation on the SLR market Metz will delve into P-TTL technology in the coming weeks.
