Ik zie hier al een tijdje niemand meer reageren in het topic; maar Versie 3 stable komt eraan. Willen we dan nog updates van de beta's van 3 of niet?! Heb het idee dat het amper gelezen wordt.

Kijk net iets vaker op Tweakers dan op Discord. Maar ben verder geen reageerder eigenlijk.

Moet wel zeggen dat de laatste updates zeker de WIFI afhandeling ten goede zijn gekomen. Ben nu echt wel tevreden met de AB. Natuurlijk zijn er wat quirks, maar ze zijn in een half jaar heel ver gekomen.

Dat was ook exact waarom er destijds mee begonnen is, naast dat er voor v1 geen updates meer uitkwamen. En dan mis je echt veel functionaliteit, eigenlijk alles juist waarvoor je deze remote hebben wilt.

Waarschijnlijk is alleen de updates van de stable v3 posten straks de modus, plus eventueel hele interessante highlights uit de bèta’s.

• Remote 3: prevent repeated unintended wakeups on 5 GHz networks with "keep Wi‑Fi connected during sleep".
• All new languages are now available in the UI and web-configurator.

Web-Configurator:

• Resolved an issue where the sleep countdown in the UI could drift from the actual device state.
• The prevent sleep now works correctly after reconnection after the device has been asleep and sets a new sleep countdown.
• Fixed restoring the original manufacturer IR code from a custom IR code.

• Dynamic press-and-hold IR repeat support for the internal IR transmitter. This might require further adjustments and is still a preview feature.

WiFi

• "Enable"/"disable" of a saved network is now stored permanently, and enabling a network reconnects an idle device (#469).
• WiFi settings are only saved once the device has actually connected. A mistyped password or a failed connection no longer overwrites your working configuration.
• Deleting the network you are currently connected to no longer leaves the device offline; it reconnects to another saved network.

Web-Configurator

• Fixed a drag-and-drop issue where reordering sequence steps in the editor could duplicate an existing step.
• Sequence execution failure errors now display localized descriptions instead of raw error codes.
• Fixed a layout issue where the AM/PM clock text could overflow the remote status pill.
• Renaming an activity or macro now immediately updates the remote display on the home screen without requiring a manual refresh.
• Improved integration setup flow handling to make screen updates more reliable.

User interface

• Improved media-player search reliability and keyboard behavior (#811).
• Improved D-pad navigation in the initial setup screens, settings, popups, release notes, and media search screens (#581).

• Turning an activity off while it is still switching on now works instead of being refused.
• A deleted or missing entity in an activity no longer prevents that activity from starting (symptom in #611).
• An activity is only reported as off after its power-off commands have actually run, so devices left on are no longer shown as off.
• An activity group no longer stays stuck in "error" forever because of one member that failed earlier while another runs fine.
• Standby, wake-up & power
• The device no longer goes to sleep in the middle of a backup or restore, or while a slow dock firmware update is being applied.
• Docks and integrations now reconnect immediately after a WiFi wake-up. A failed suspend no longer leaves the device awake but disconnected from everything.
• Docks and integrations now have a two second window for being notified before the device suspends, instead of a best effort notification.
• Deleting an activity that prevents sleep now releases that block, so the device can suspend again instead of draining the battery.
• Fixed a crash when reading the standby state, and internal sleep blocks (updates, setup, activities) are no longer wiped by a client clearing inhibitors.

General stability improvements

• Fixed the burst of database errors on startup with large setups (for example a big Home Assistant installation with multiple hundred entities), which could leave a dock's IR emitter unavailable until the next reboot or configuration change.
• Large bursts of entity state changes are now merged in 100 ms windows, so busy integrations no longer overload the system.
• Software updates
• Free disk space is checked before a firmware download starts, instead of filling up storage and retrying forever.
• A corrupted download is now discarded, so retrying actually re-downloads it instead of failing until the next reboot.
• Two dock updates, or a dock update together with a system update, can no longer run at the same time.
• Update progress is always reported for the update that is actually running.

Added

• WPA3-Personal (SAE) and hidden WiFi networks can now be used (#162, #46, #480).
• Networks created without an explicit security type are set up as WPA2/WPA3 transition profiles, so they work on old and new routers alike.
• WPA3 is unfortunately not supported on Remote Two. The WiFi controller firmware is missing WPA3 (SAE) support.
• Web-Configurator
• Sort by name or creation date for entity-, activity, macro-, remote-, dock- and integration-views (#731, #761).
