Feedback 1 (Group System): https://robertsspaceindus...ack-groups-system/1257630
Communication is pretty bad, since the chat keeps disappearing, so I usually try to get people on Spectrum, so we can atleast chat too each other. Also there is no reason to create a party yet, since we can't share any payouts, or do any shared missions. I mean, what has really improved compared to 3.1, here is a list of things I would like to see improved.
Creating a party
Press F when close to someone and invite them to your party (a day's work really, and only useful if you are playing with strangers)
Improvements:
It would be nice if we can invite people which are already in ships, so we don't have to be standing next to them for a party invite. Perhaps this can be arranged through the comm-ui in the ship, so parties are easily made even on the fly (ship-to-ship invite)
Locating and tracking party members
A tag, to identify party members (an hour work, really, because we already have this on ships)
Improvements:
1. It would be nice if the markers are going away. They are graphically unpleasing and just clutter everything even more. I would propose to have your party members intergrated in your helmet radar, and if they are too far away to be on your radar, perhaps make it show a marker with the press of a button.
2. In addition, I would like to see names on the suits of players, for more immersion and also in the case AR doesn't work (because of an EMP for example), or you just don't want your HUD/AR on all the time.
Communication between party members
Party chat is really a chore, I keep seeing only the last 2 lines of the chat, making it very hard to build up a chat history in the party chat, because if someone says something, it's already gone when someone says something quickly after that, making it very hard to follow a conversation. Also sometimes the chat disappears at random, and all communication is cut off. I usually try to get someone on Spectrum currently, because the system is so unreliable.
Improvements:
The party chat should be more reliable, it mostly goes away when entering a ship for example. Also it should get more space and be easier to switch from party chat to all chat. Currently it is super clunky, you have to press tab, show your cursor and do all weird stuff with that super clunky mini-UI, which seems like it's a whole different system. I would propose to just add an /all /party option, for sanity's sake.
Other:
Ship sharing among the party (not really improving the party system, but a nice addition, but has no benefits to make party play more fun)
Automatic ship privilege for party members (this might be nice, but the W/A with the lock/unlock was so easy in 3.1, that it didn't bother me or my friends at all)
Additional note:
So far, apart from the tag and wanting people to try a ship they don't have, I see no improvements on the party mechanic. What is for you the reason to create a party? I would say, you create a party to play together and work towards a common goal. We can play together with this party system (as we could already since 3.0), but there is no working towards a common goal, which makes the system useless. I hope we certainly get something better in 3.2(x), because otherwise this is not the feature which has been voted for in the 3.2 Survey.
Feedback 2 (Quantum Linking): https://robertsspaceindus...k-quantum-linking/1257644
Linked quantum transit:
All works great, but the problem is that I am not seeing my party members in the jump. I think I am not just speaking for myself here, that it would very cool if the group is jumping in the same Quantum Tunnel to really get that immersion and group feeling.
Linking UI:
The UI didn't work that great for me yet, but when it worked it was still not very obvious what was actually happening, both for the Master and the Slave(s). Maybe the UI was bugged, but for example as a Slave I had no idea when a QT Link was happening and when I had to align for the jump. Also when I finally got it, I did not really know what to do, without reading the patch notes. Also it's super annoying that all your contacts are being listed in the comms screen in the ships, where you normally request permissions to land. If you have more then 5 friends, it would make the system unuseable, it should just show the people nearby and the people in your party and all the usual stations for landing permissions.
Improvements:
I think if the Master sets a QT Link destination, the Slave(s) should get a notification and get another color to align, not the usual green for QT Dots, but perhaps Orange or whatever, something which is noticeable by others without thinking it's just a regular marker. Ultimately you might want to go for the Star Trek: Bridge Crew approach here:
https://www.vrheads.com/s...ommands.jpg?itok=EooAhQIi In Star Trek: Bridge Crew they basically show you how to align from your ships position, so it will be very obvious that you are getting ready for a quantum link. It is also shown in the picture below. I also added a YouTube video here, which is timestamped, look through the window of the spaceship, and you will see it:

Group Interdiction:
As a final note, Group interdictions worked great, atleast the time I tried it and it worked as intended.
