Dear Zendure Support,
I would like to request a feature / report a bug regarding the PV input of the Zendure SolarFlow 4000 AC+.
When my PV installation is connected to the PV-in AC input, I want the system to be able to
bypass the solar energy when the battery is not actively scheduled to charge.
At the moment, the system ALWAYS automatically stores available PV energy in the battery whenever there is PV-production.
This is not always desirable when using dynamic electricity prices.
For example:
- During expensive hours, I want the solar energy to be exported to the grid rather than stored in the battery.
- During cheap hours, I want the battery to charge from the grid according to my charging schedule.
- However, if the battery has already been partially or fully charged with solar energy earlier, there is less available capacity for the planned cheap-hour charging.
In other words, I want to be able to configure the system as follows:
Battery charging OFF → PV energy is bypassed and exported to the grid.
Battery charging ON → PV energy is allowed to charge the battery.
The important point is that the PV input should not automatically override the charging schedule simply because there is available solar power.
Ideally, this would be available as a setting such as:
“PV charging follows charging schedule”
or
“Bypass PV when battery charging is disabled.”
This would make the SolarFlow 4000 AC+ much more suitable for users with dynamic electricity tariffs who want to optimize both solar export and battery charging based on electricity prices.
Could you please let me know whether this functionality is currently possible, planned, or could be added through a firmware update?
Reactie Zendure:
Dear Customer,
Thank you for your detailed feedback and for sharing your suggestions regarding the SolarFlow 4000 AC+ functionality.
We understand your feedback regarding the PV input logic and your request for a feature that allows the system to bypass solar energy when battery charging is disabled.
Your suggestion regarding better control of solar export and battery charging schedules under dynamic electricity pricing scenarios is very valuable. We have already submitted the issue you reported, along with your feature suggestions, to our development team for further investigation and evaluation.
The development team is expected to need approximately 5 working days to analyze the situation. We kindly ask for your patience during this process. We will continue to follow up on the progress and provide you with updates as soon as we receive further information.
Thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support of Zendure products. Your feedback is very important for our future product improvements.
