Deze review kwam ik er van tegen met nuttige info:
Best variant: BDKH - NAS board with 4xI226-V and
ASM1166 SATA controller (manual available!)
Reviewed in Germany on 6 November 2023
Colour Name: No RAM No SSD
Update 09.11.23 - Beware of misinformation from me!
Although the board is sold by Kingnovy and TopTon together with the CW boards, it is NOT by Changwang.
You can tell the two apart by the PCB color and the print on the board itself.
BDKH: Green board with BDKH-NAS-XXXX label -
ASM1166 SATA controller (C8 - self-tested)
CW: Black board with CW-NAS-XXXX label - JMS585 SATA controller (not lower than C3, despite ASPM) The BKHD board IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE CW BIOS variants!
Unfortunately, there is no information about this on the Internet.
A manual with the PIN assignments and also the original BIOS (for modding) is available here:
https://www.bkipc.com/en/product/BK-NAS-N510X-MB.html
By default, ASPM is not activated for PCIe ports - which is why the board consumes a bit more in IDLE. However, you can mod the BIOS to easily unlock the corresponding ports, and also unlock the overclocking menu.
If you use a PicoPSU, everything unlocked is actually possible with half the equipment in spin-down around 11W idle - in terms of price/performance ratio, the board is therefore great in combination with the Jonsbo N2 housing (5 HDDs + 1 SATA SSD), for example.
In contrast to the black version, however, the significantly better
ASM1166 SATA controller is used here, which can also be used in C8 - the more expensive/much more well-known black variant of CW with a more recent BIOS unfortunately uses the JMS585 - which apparently blocks C8 efficiently.
You can find out quite well about this in Google...
