People wondering about the Lego Group limiting the sales should read about history and understand the current situation. TLG was almost bankrupted in the beginning of this millennium but then got Star Wars to the rescue and also started to limit the sets as more isn’t always more (money). Now Lego has a deal with the D and is forced to limit most if not all of its original story themes like Castle and Pirates. Star Wars needs to be the (only) constantly continuing and expanding storyline and also needs huge profits from the sets as it’s running on a license to be paid. The SW sets seem to have a higher price per parts ratio than other sets for example. Selling more other sets (like this castle) would reduce the SW sales (profits) as the customers overlap quite much.
The handling of these sales was only on the Lego site but is not actually being handled by Lego it was contracted out.People who manged to get an order in will not be cancelled, but people should know that it went well over 5000 by a lot.So people that got an order can stop worrying they will get their set cancelled .Lego did have to stop the orders at some point that's when it became unavailable. The problem was a technical issue ,the orders were being made faster than this website counter could keep up.It technically sold out a lot sooner than the website indicated. So if you received a conformation email you are good to go.

If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out that it has no meaning: just as, if there were no light in the universe and therefore no creatures with eyes, we should never know it was dark. Dark would be without meaning - C.S. Lewis
