Hi,
Hope it's ok if I write in English, my Dutch is still nowhere near good enough to use it for topics like these.
I have a question regarding the pricing and brands of kitchens. We were at countless suppliers, and to my surprise, what I thought was an okay-ish budget (15k) for what we wanted, turned out to be really not even close to what we are going to spend it seems. This is our first time buying kitchens in NL, and it's incredible how every single supplier just pulls 20-40% discounts out of nowhere. I just want to check if the price we are getting is actually a good deal for the brand and what we are getting.
This is design we are looking at:
https://www.keukenstunter.../#&gid=product-9979&pid=1, (3.6m length, 2.75m height) + a kitchen island (2.8m length, 1.2m with). Cooking plate and sink are going to be moved to the island. Drawers are where you see them on the photo, and there are 2 drawers under the cooking plate. The rest are regular cabinets. Also the colors will be different, but that doesn't affect the price. There is not real wood anywhere.
Appliances:
Fridge/freezer:
Siemens IQ100
Oven:
Siemens IQ700
Dishwasher:
Siemens IQ300
Cooking top:
Siemens IQ300
These are not set in stone, they just put those in by default, and considering the prices of the oven and induction top, we might change those out.
This is a Bauformat kitchen and we were quoted 26k + installation, and supposedly that's almost a 50% discount. I realize kitchen pricing is really a wild west, but I have a very, very hard time believing the 'the original price' for this setup would be 50k. I saw Siematic kitchens of similar size already in that price range.
They are running a 50% discount on everything, including appliances (they are about 5k all together with the discount), which means the kitchen itself is about 20k. I've been reading about Bauformat and it's more or less in the low-mid(ish) range of kitchen brands - on par or barely above Nobilia and similar stuff. Is that the reality now - that for 26k you can get a barely above entry level brand kitchen? Is what I have been quoted actually a good price? When we bumped up the budget, I honestly expected to at least be solidly in the mid-range segment. 30k is really the very top end of our budget - are there any more 'upscale' options out there (using the same discounting logic)?
We've also been to Grando, Keukenmaxx, Eigenhus, Kvik - Similar design to the above, just without the top cabinets. Discounts everywhere, but they all end up at around 22-28k. Most expensive being Grando, since they used wood for the island and bottom cabinets on the wall part of the kitchen. Deepest discount was at Keukenmaxx, Eigenhus, Grando (not that deep), and Kvik the worst by far. I am not familiar with what brands each of them sells.
