UPDATE onderaan post
Argh.
My Surface Pro Will Not Power On!!
Sometimes, I have found that if the Surface Pro is having an issue, it will just power off without warning. You may be in the middle of something or may have been pressing a button during boot that it did not like. There are two possible outcomes to this.
The first is that your Surface Pro had a minor Firmware Panic and not the big one that causes the SBLL above. If this is the case, the Surface Pro will not power on or give any indication that it is working when you press the power button. It is just off and does not power on and the Windows/Home button does not respond when pressed either, as in, it does not vibrate.
In addition, you know it is still alive because you plug in the power adapter and its white light comes on. That means, likely, that your Surface Pro is not dead but is very scared, which is why it panicked. To fix this, follow these steps with the power adapter plugged in (there are a few options to try):
Press and hold the volume up button for about 15 seconds. Do not let go
While still holding the volume up button, press the power button once
When/if you see ‘Surface,’ let go of the volume up button
Move to the below steps if this does not work
Repeatedly press the power button on/off about 30 times
When doing this, press once, wait half a second and press again
If in doing the above, it powers on at any time, then you are good to go
If it does NOT magically power on, then after the 30th time, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds (1, 1000, 2, 1000)
It will not power on when you hold it down most likely but if it does when you let go, you are set
If it does NOT power on when you let go after 30 seconds, unplug the power adapter and press the power button once more
If it powered on, you are set
If not, leave it unplugged for an hour and then try to power it on again. It should now power on
The second outcome of this minor panic is death. If none of the above powered it on, then seek a replacement. Or if you plug in the power adapter and receive no white light, it is fried. Seek a replacement. Sorry.
Nouja zeg, nu doet ie het opeens weer.
Oplossing: Repeatedly press the power button on/off about 30 times
When doing this, press once, wait half a second and press again.
Nogal vage oplossing als je het mij vraagt.
