Regarding the WiFi:
1. Please reinstall WLAN driver.

SAVE the file on the hard disk please.
How to reinstall the driver:
First step to do is to uninstall the utility:
START ->> CONTROL PANEL ->> PROGRAMS AND FEATURES.
You can find the ?Intel PRO SET Wireless/Utility? here (if you don?t have it, just skip this step).
Please highlight it and click on UNINSTALL.
Please restart the notebook and at the beginning of the boot, when you see the blue Dell Logo, press several times the F8 key.
From the start options choose ?SAFE MODE? (without networking) please.
Log into the account and click on YES please.
The second step will be the removal of the driver from device manager:
START ->> CONTROL PANEL ->> SYSTEM AND MAINTENANCE ->> HARDWARE ->> DEVICE MANAGER.
Open the NETWORK ADAPTERS ? there should be a log of the Intel 6230 WLAN Card.
Please right click on it and choose Uninstall.
Reboot the computer to the normal mode and double click the downloaded file. The installation starts automatically, please follow the on-screen instructions.
2. Please make sure that the correct settings are in Dell QuickSet Utilities.
The utility is factory installed, but can also be reinstalled from the Resource CD or support.dell.com. Once the utility is installed, it will be located in the Start menu or you can find icon on the taskbar. Please go into ?Internal Network Card Power Management? and make sure that ?Always Activate on Battery? is selected.
3. Please check the Power Management also in the Device Manager. Please open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager. Double-click Network adapters. Right-click on the installed wireless adapter that is in use. Click on Advanced -> Adapter Settings -> Power Management and make sure that the card is always activated.
4. Please check the following setting in Control Panel:
? Select Control Panel -> Power Options.
? In the left-hand sidebar, select Change when the computer sleeps.
? On the page displayed, click Change advanced power settings. The Advanced Settings page is displayed.
? For each power plan, perform the following: Select Wireless Adaptor Settings -> Power Saving Mode, and change the value of both On Battery and Plugged In options to the value Maximum Performance. Repeat for each power plan.
