Al doe ik niet zo veel als dat jullie het doen (meerdere systemen erop, verschillende kabels, editen) maar ik kan wel een gooi wagen. Ik had iig met 1.93 praktisch geen problemen, op het afspelen van muziek na dattie per 5 shuffled en welk nummer ik start als nummer 1 ziet.
Ik post gelijk de releas notes erbij die in de zip zitten.

3 Known Bugs and Issues with Release
This section will list critical known bugs that development team are working on, and target to fix in the next
release. For all other known bugs and issues please refer to the appendix.
- Playback of timeshift will restart from the beginning and then auto stop at 32:08.
- System hangs and screen is black if change TV type then plays VR.
- OSD show "Write Fail" if keep inserting track during recording on audio CD.
- Press EDIT key during CD-R Recording, add till Track99 then press EDIT key once more, system will hang.
- SCART-CVBS input will be a little darker than AV1.
- In Timer or EasyGuider UI, switch source to DV and play DV, DV audio will discontinue.
4 Closed and Resolved Bugs / Issues with this Release
This section will list all bugs that are in the resolved or closed state and that have changed status since the last
release. Bugs may appear here over several releases for many reasons. They could have been moved from the
resolved to closed state since the last release. They could have been reopened and moved back to either the closed or resolved state since the last release.

- With SCART-CVBS input, color display abnormal.
- Video c olor display abnormal if reboot system when in AV1 source.

4.2.1 For 195 Patch 3
(New Features and Enhancements)
- Improve the channel scan method in France.
- Improve SCART I/O function.
- Improve file system performance and management method.
- Adapt DDW-813S B20A.
- Use 1K = 1000 to show HDD capacity.
(Bug Fixes)
- When switching inputs, if I switch inputs from SCART to anything else, and then return to SCART the colors are very badly distorted, the only solution is to turn the player off and then on again.
- Lip synchronization fault.
- Making HDD recording, sometimes the sound becomes deficient like repetitive echo, cuts and shifted at the beginning.
- Timer record sometimes can not start correctly.
- Can not playback new Sony/Columbia DVD-Video titles, for example, "little black book".
- Green tint on screen dark area while playing DVD-Video or in source view.
- Search time when A-B repeat, can't playback the search time.
- Copied DVD-Video image can not be played.
- Time elapsed indicator is not properly shown during fast reverse.
- Press [Step] or [FastForward] when playback to the end of timeshift content, OSD still shows "-->" and "2X" but it doesn't have any effect.
- Force system to remember the original device no matter which UI is activated.
- Over write tag will be set on the 1st title if erase the 1st on a disc with 49 titles recorded.
- Recording source will disappear after timer setting is finished.
- Playback DVD-VR Disc, the menu is overlap with input source.
- Press [Next] key continuously cannot jump to next chapter when play VR from HDD.
- System did not remove the in-completed image after copy stop with error.
- Channel Edit turn off then turn on, this channel lost both audio and video.
- Can't copy title from HDD to ODD in a disc with more than 48 titles.
- Thumb-nail did not restore if title content that you set thumb-nail has been split.
- Information cannot display more than 100 titles when play VR of HDD.
- Cannot search timer more than 59hr59min59sec if play VR of HDD more than 60hr.
- No repeat info from OSD or front panel if set repeat all or shuffle or repeat off when playback.
- 2X FF while playing special file, playback till one point will playback from beginning automatically.
- Disable channel A, swap channel A & B, channel B is disabled.
- System did not set 16:9 aspect ratio for progressive output when play 16:9 DVD-Video.
- When PDC is turned on in timer record, can see "CH251" on LED during system boots up.
- When Playback the last track from browser, OSD show wrong information and can't back to the first track when press "Previous".
- If rename music/picture folder name to "\" from edit UI , cannot see any file in folder after rename folder to "\".
- Timer record can be set finished without selecting recording source.
- After add track while recording audio CD, LED did not show the track number.
- Press "Pause" during FF/REV, cannot pause on time.
- Press "Play" during slow motion, cannot resume playback on time.
- Unplug tuner signal and then power on, plug-in signal, cannot hear voice.
- Copy a media disc may wait very long time before progress bar appears.
- If search title over title256 (include title256) when play VR of HDD, search UI displays error when enter search UI again.
- The chapter time when enable "Information" display has one more "0", it will cause different time
displayed.
- File size of picture shows a question mark in browser.
- Timeshift show record 003:21:03 but can only play 003:20:58 then freeze.
- Open editor from setup, press "edit" key, now it will go back to setup.
- Screen blinks twice when playback is marked-stop and return back to external signal.
- Press "Timer" while playing a title, it will not keep source and channel information.
- OSD shows track"00" timer "00:00:00" if enter browser then exit when play Jpeg/Bmp disc.
- It is failed when read some protect DVD-Video disc with UDF format.
- System's response is slow when parsing disc.
- Playing, enter UI, leave UI, resume playback if device is not changed.
- Show "record cancelled" if user press stop or power key to cancel timer recording.
- Screen saver display abnormal if Press [Stop] to Stop recording when timer record turn on then wait for screen turn on.
- PIP display abnormal when show/hide chapter in Edit UI.
- Play a special DVD-Video with FastForward then Pause, screen is frozen after press [Play] when playback is pause.
- Front panel shows "STOP" first then playback if press PLAY key when disc already in DVD deck before power on.
- Play DVD+VR that has 49 titles, recorder cannot merge the title48 and title49.
- System will not auto format blank CD disc while timer recording is starting and disc is blank.
- F.F/F.R then Pause when playback a special DVD-Video, screen become step play when select up, down, right, left in zoom control mode.
- Timer and title/chapter of OSD disappeared after enter Setup mode then exit when playback DVD+VR.
- Playback DVD+VR and press "previous" when time is nearby chapter starting point.
- Press [up],[down],[left],[right] cannot zoom pan after zoom in from zoom control then exit zoom control, and this behavior is different from playback VR from DVD.
- Files with long file name exceeds 108 can't be copied to the ODD disc.
- If length of file name is larger than 249, it won't be shown in Browser UI.
- Pressing [Pause] when playback JPEG/BMP disc then enter [Picture control] from [Navigator] , OSD show "Play" but still pause playback after exit [Picture control]
- System will not show "invalid region code" for at least 3 sec.
- After the HDD 999 title is recorded, action speed of the screen saver is very slow.
- Play at the last second of a video clip, press "browser" system will hang.
- After leaving Browser UI, do not resume play if target was changed.
- No signal then press timeshift, can't switch source.
- Press "SOURCE" then "COPY" quickly, it will enter EasyGuider, not Copy page.
- When NAVIGATOR is opened, press "EDIT" button, system may hang.
- System hangs when record CDDA after HQ recording.
- Shuffle playback is randomly playing files among every 10 files. Now, change to 101 files.
4.2.2 For 193 Patch 1
(New Features and Enhancements)
- Support recording to 8-cm blank DVD discs.
- Save current channel before entering any application and restore the channel after leave.
- The level of sound between NICAM and MONO channel is far too different from simple to double.
- Set default system date to 2005.1.1 0:0:0.
- Modify the source selecting mechanism.
- Limit recording title in HDD to 999.
- Adopt B208.bin for DDW-813S.
- Change the default scan mode from CABLE to ANTENNA for UK, HK model,
- Unbind external signal while system is upgrading.
- Add pre-format for copy path in EasyGuider.
- Press "left" key will go back to 6th thumbnail in the previous page in browser.
- In disc menu, allow select title 3 from title 4 by pressing "left" key.
- Change default device to "HDD".
- Disable split function when it is cut nearby the point two titles merged.
- System sometimes can not power on successfully (only show “HELLO” on LED).
(Bug Fixes)
- After scan channel, some channels will be lost.
- SCART Pin 8 issue. After system starts for timer record, it will set TV source to SCART input.
- If use EasyGuider to play DVD-Video, it can not play.
- Press "Pause" twice continuously, sometimes system will continue to play the disc for a while and then pause.
- VPS/PDC detection error.
- Allow the filename of DVD-Video image over 25 characters.
- Unplug power while system is shutting down, system cannot mount HDD after power up.
- For some specific Audio CDs, system needs to handle emphasis/de-emphasis.
- If use EasyGuider to play -VR image in HDD, it can not play.
- OSD will show “Wrong Signal Type” after press “edit” while playing DVD-Video that is made on
recordable DVD discs.
- If try to open other applications like Guider or Timer while editing audio CD play list, system will block all remote keys.
- Scandisk causes folders become files, and then record will fail.
- If record CD fails, system will hang.
- Synchronize the date/time format in Browser with the setting in system setup.
- Fix the problem that when play a DVD-VR disc, AB-repeat function problem while the repeat is set to across cell.
- While playing DVD-Video, select EasyGuider to Playback function and then play the DVD-Video again, screen will become whole black.
- Cannot prepare DVD-RW problem.
- Screen saver does not work.
- If filename contains “/”, system will not be able to parse the file correctly.
- Copy some specific DVD-Video images from HDD to DVD, system will hang.
- Set timer to 0:0:0, it will start after the next day.
5 Important Notice for Updating Firmware
- It is very important to wait for tray out while upgrading. In the current update progress, system will tray out no matter update fails or succeeds.
- PLEASE DO NOT CUT OFF POWER BEFORE TRAY OUT.

Leg eens uit wat er aan de hand is met die gebrande DVD's want ik snap er zo langzamerhand niks meer van: is een gebrande DVD nou zo gevoelig of is de brander in de 5045 nou zo slecht? In feite zou toch elk k*tmerk het moeten doen in elke DVD speler? Wat heb je er anders aan? Ik zie me al een DVD aan mijn schoonmoeder geven en er dan bij moeten zeggen: het kan zijn dat-ie het doet, maar waarschijnlijk niet. Dan mag ik gelijk haar dochter weer inleveren!

Vraagje: is er een mogelijkheid om beveiligde dvd's naar de HDD te kopieren? Volgens het Engelse forum is dat met 1.95 wel mogelijk, deze versie heb ik nooit geinstalleerd en met de 1.93 was ik nog niet eerder gestuit op deze beveiliging. Een andere mogelijkheid wordt in dat forum geoppert om dvd's via een andere dvd speler naar de 5045 te kopieren. Omslachtig, maar werkt wel natuurlijk.
van dit forum momenteel getuigt van een goede firmware update.
