This is in English so that Thomas can read this too.
First of all, thank you for this beta release.
Most of us really appreciate it, no matter what anybody says, it gives an additional value to the dvdplayer. Maybe the subtitles aren't bugfree, but most of the subs are read-able.
I think that you made a good move with this, we can give you comment about bugs (makes it easier for you to test it), and we can maybe tell you what we think is really possitive and less possitive (the glass is always half full ;-) )
I'm very happy with this beta firmware and most of the people here are too.
Next time maybe add the words temporary or beta to the firmware name, so that you really pronounce that it's not a final release.
These are my remarks of this firmware:
White subtitles with gray box: GREAT solution. Better than completely white subs, and definately better than the yellow subs. White subs with a black border would be better, but this is a second best solution. If the black border is too difficult, keep this solution. It's perfect readable, even in a white frame.
Dutch language addition at settings: you thought about the belgians and the dutch people

Is there also a possibility to add the dutch language to the settings for dvd playback, so that dutch dvd subs are immediately selected?
Longer subs are not shown completely. Sometimes the first subtitle line continues at the second line, sometimes it cuts it off after a certain number of words.
Letters with an accent and umlaut, like é ä, ü è etc... are not shown. In stead it just gives a _
Some movies ony show subtitles for a couple of minutes, and just stop showing up. Maybe a fault in the subtitle file, maybe that there are certain incompatibilities between srt files?
For the rest, thank you for the beta version, and keep up the good work.
