Many S23 Ultras had OIS issues on the main (200MPx) camera module, where certain movements would result in some rattling noise and shaky image.
This only affects the video mode, and it is particularily bad when the camera is focused on a very close subject or one in the distance.
This is confirmed to be a hardware problem. Samsung would service those devices by replacing the main camera module free of charge, under warranty.
Easy steps to reproduce/check:
Open Camera
Switch to Pro Video
Set focus to either macro or infinity while using the main (200MPx) module
If you hold your phone in landscape, move the phone so the viewfinder orientates to the upper-left corner
If you hold your phone in portrait, move the phone so the viewfinder orientates to the upper-right corner

S23 Ultra Camera Rattling & Focusing Problem
OIS, Camera making a loud vibrating noise while i was rotating my phone?
Unfortunately, last night I discovered that my S24 Ultra was affected by this problem, especially when the camera was focused up-close. If anyone's interested it's a SM-s928B (UK) 1TB Titanium Black model, made in Vietnam, and it's what I believe one of the very early units, manufactured on 7/Dec/2023.
I have contacted Samsung as soon as I woke up, and they offered to exchange it. My old unit is already on its way to Samsung, so unfortunately for me I'll be w/o an S24 Ultra for about a week.
I consider the S23 Ultra at this point (despite it being an exceptional device) a mined field. You have a high chance to get a broken unit, even later models suffer of this issue. I hope with the S24 Ultra it was just me being unlucky. And yes, my S23 Ultra had this problem as well, and had it serviced in September, and now it's working fine.
2024-02-12 Update:
My new phone arrived. Also a Vietnam unit. This one is perfect, no problems with the OIS.
