Well, first, I've been a gamer for a loong time and I've never written to a forum before about a game, so you can tell this is not good.

But, first off, compliments should be paid to the programmers and designers on a job well done: Graphics look great, the mood in the dungeons fantastic, motion is fluid, combat is intense! Excellent job, second to none!!
However, I'm really let down by this craze of Console-adaptability going around. KOTOR2 was bad enough.. but Elderscrolls??! why??? You just broke my heart! I'm sure its not the programmers or designers, but definately high-ups trying to impress the very high-ups by saving a freakin dollar! I have to say first, that, I will not buy another Bethesda game until I know more about the game after it's released. No more console interfaces; it's cheap, unprofessional, dummied-down and insulting to PC gamers (to me atleast), not to mention R-E-S-T-R-I-C-T-I-V-E. I find I cannot interract with the environment like Morrowind--my hands are litterly tied behind my back now! It was a moronic decision; and if the next one is similar I can honostly say I will not buy it, seriously. I'm too old to make idle threats. You had your own niche with the emersion into your virtual world, now it's just eye candy. You really blew it Bethesda, alteast with me. As for now, I look forward to NWN2 and I sincerely hope they didn't turn THAT console based!! (screenshots are deceptive) And everyone knows that Obsidians one-and-only was a console before, so, I'm watching them closely now after this experience.
In short, the graphics, feel, sound, and music are fantastic! But, the big letters and bulkiness are dumb, not to mention you turned a simple one-click access to things in Morrowind into several clicks and scrolling through inventory! Thank god you didn't remove the 'pause' in Inventory mode.
I don't know about others, but I can't drag-n-drop things anywhere--only shift-click to drop it from inventory whereby it shoots out from me in some god aweful direction across the room. Wth was that!?! Because of this moronic concept, you can't manipulate the world like Morrowind; I used to love the idea of picking up all kinds of items and colored lights (etc..) And placing them on a ledge or table or whereever for a different look and feel; or, neatly organize my magic items, soul gems (or anything!) on tables. No more. Can't do it at all in any way now. A severe let down. The Console UI and loss of manipulation affect a persons playing experience with your game far far greater than graphics and sound; I bought all of Morrowinds expansions--unfortunately, I won't buy any of Oblivians.
Finally, I'm convinced I wasted $50 and 3 years of anticipation. This is clearly a $20 Ported PC game at best, or a $50 Console game. It should have been marketed solely as a console game first.
