Reactie van AVM n.a.v. mijn klacht:
We are investigating the problem you are reporting and hope to be able to
offer a correction with a future firmware update coming soon.
Until this update has been released, we recommend to use either the
following workaround:
1) Please select the country setting "Belgium" in the FRITZ!Box GUI at
"Telephony / Regional Options"
2) The FRITZ!Box will reboot automatically and after the reboot, internet
access will be possible as usual.
3) Now change the contry prefix in the telephony settings manually to the
Netherlands' prefix ("00 31") at
"Own telephone numbers / Line settings / Country Code".
4) When installing any other firmware than 05.21, please do not forget to
re-configure the FRITZ!Box settings to "Netherlands" after the update.
Or you may want to install a beta firmware, downloadable from:
ftp://service.avm.de/Beta/FRITZ!Box%207390%20int/
It can be installed as a regular update ("System > Firmware Update").
Before updating, we recommend to save the current FRITZ!Box settings so
that you may restore these ("System > Save Settings > tab 'Restore'") if
you'd later like to revert to the firmware that is currently installed.
Please note that you can always revert to the latest official firmware
after having tested the beta firmware. We recommend the following
procedure:
I) Saving the FRITZ!Box settings:
- Open the user user interface of the FRITZ!Box (
http://fritz.box).
- Go to "System > Save Settings" and save the settings.
II) Intalling the beta firmware
- Save the file containing the beta firmware (image file) to the computer
that is connected to the FRITZ!Box.
- Open the user user interface of the FRITZ!Box (
http://fritz.box).
- Enable the expert mode: "System > Expert Mode > check option 'Show expert
settings' or "Advanced View' > Apply".
- Go to "System > Firmware Update".
- Select tab "Firmware File".
- Click "Save Settings" (not always present).
- Click "Browse..." and browse to the beta firmware file that you have
copied to your hard disk.
- Click "Open" and "Update" button.
The beta firmware will now be transferred to the FRITZ!Box. The update
procedure is completed as soon as the "Info" LED stops flashing.
ATTENTION:
During this procedure, do not stop or interrupt the connection between the
computer and the FRITZ!Box and do not pull the power cord during this
period, as such may damage the FRITZ!Box! However, should the "Info" LED
still be flashing after 10 minutes, briefly disconnect the FRITZ!Box from
the power mains for roughly 10 seconds.
III) If required, install the official firmware:
- Manually install the latest official firmware for your FRITZ!Box as
described in section 2 in the following guide:
http://service.avm.de/sup...ng-the-FRITZ-Box-firmware
- Restore the FRITZ!Box settings with the file that you saved prior to the
installation of the beta firmware (on the user interface of the FRITZ!Box
via "System > Save Settings > Restore Settings").
Please take notice that we do not offer support on beta firmware versions.
