Here are some instructions to use ATI FLASH properly:
You want to use this program from DOS. Use a boot disk to boot up in DOS to proceed to use ATi FLASH
-----------------------------------------------------
1) ATI FLASH works fine with both .BIN and .ROM files
2) If you just type ATIFLASH at the A:\ , it will show a list of all of the possible switches that are available
3) Use this command to flash your BIOS with the appropriate file:
atiflash -f -p 0 biosname.bin

Hello rage3d members
I just board a Saphire Radeon 9700 and flashed the bios 97npSap.bin
At first it went wrong using ATIFLASH but after flashing witch FLASHROM (the one Gigabyte uses for there Radeon 9700pro) it went ok, and after a reinstall of the display drivers, I am now able to overclock my card using Radeonator 2.0.
Here are some safeties in flashing bios if any thing goes wrong.
Make a backup of your original Radeon bios using ATIFLASH:
atiflash –s 0 atibak.bin
Make a system floppydisk with the directory atibios and the flashrom files from the Gigabyte Radeon 9700pro
http://ftp.gigabyte.com.tw/support/temp/r9700pro_f1.zip
Dos4gw.exe
Flashrom.exe
Flashrom.rom
And your new backupfile
atibak.bin
Now make a bat-file in the root of the system floppy disk called atirestore.bat containing
cd atibios
flashrom –p 0 atibak.bin
So now the point is, if any flashing went wrong (black screen after reboot) just boot up using your new system disk and while having a black screen type atirestore wait one minute and reboot and you are back to normal again :-) it worked for me.

Zorg er wel voor dat het merk geheugen van jouw kaart overeenkomt met de bios die je wilt flashen.
