• HyperWRT http://www.hyperwrt.org/Downloads.shtml
• Sveasoft http://www.sveasoft.com/content/view/2/1/HyperWRT is a power boost firmware for the Linksys WRT54G and WRT54GS router. The goal of this project is to add a limited set of features to the last Linksys firmware, extending its possibilities but staying close to the official firmware.
• DD-WRT http://www.dd-wrt.comThe Sveasoft firmware is a replacement firmware upgrade for ASUS, Belkin, Buffalotech, and Linksys wireless routers. Our firmware adds dozens of sophisticated features to these sub-$100 routers turning them into the equivalent of products costing hundreds or thousands of dollars.
• Tomato http://www.polarcloud.com/tomatoDD-WRT is simply a project which is based on the official GPL Sources of Sveasoft Alchemy. Due the nature of GPL based projects, this firmware will be also release under this license. Initially i wrote this modification to make it possible, to use the Linksys WRT54G/GS inside our Wireless Lan network as cheap replacement for our professional Lancom and Orinocco access points. so what was missing? first, we are using radius authentication with a central account management inside our network for user authentication. There is already a radius application available for OpenWRT, but openwrt was no choice since it is not user friendly for a non computer professional without any linux knowledge. so i just integrated it with some small enhancements in the alchemy software.
Dit topic is om te discussieren over:Tomato is a small, lean and simple replacement firmware for Linksys' WRT54G/GL/GS, Buffalo WHR-G54S/WHR-HP-G54 and other Broadcom-based routers. It features a new easy to use GUI, a new bandwidth usage monitor, more advanced QOS and access restrictions, enables new wireless features such as WDS and wireless client modes, raises the limits on maximum connections for P2P, allows you to run your custom scripts or telnet/ssh in and do all sorts of things like re-program the SES/AOSS button, adds wireless site survey to see your wifi neighbors, and more.
Update 25 april 2007:
Startpost wat opgeschoont. Links weer werkend gemaakt en Tomato toegevoegd.
