MAJOR
[00] When playing a DivX file and switching between SURROUND and STEREO (should only affect 6 CHANNEL output) there is a big change in audio quality on the 2 CHANNEL and SPDIF output. STEREO sounds more complete (and higher volume), while SURROUND sounds a bit dark, as if some effect is included (lower volume).
Solved in v34.
[01] DivX subtitling font is not pure white. Play a DivX with subtitling. The font color seems te be dependant on the background color. Maybe the font is a bit tranparant too, while only the font background bar should be transparant.
[02] A DivX movie in 4:3 format (640x480) in not shown in the correct ration when the player is set to 16:9. The movie is horizontally squeezed and whatever viewmode you choose on your television, the movie keeps having black bars on the left and right side. Screen just is not filled in horizontally way.
[03] DivX with Packed Bitstream does not play smooth.
OTHER
[04] DivX subtitling gray background is too transparant. Subtitling is still hard to read because the white characters are transparant, but also the grey background could be a little less transparant.
[05] XVID 1.0 movies stammer.
[06] DivX and XviD movies with resolution 768x576 stammer.
[07] DivX subtitling lines are not shown complete. Improved in v34. But we can also replace the font ourselves...
[08] MP3 information for album always shows "ALBUM:". With every MP3, the information about artist, title, album, year and comments are given. This information for album always shown the text "ALBUM:" in front of the album name. This is spoiling the space available for the album name.
[09] With an MP3 disc: the lines with text in the "files" and the "information" section are not fully displayed. Text stops at 75% of the section ... limited characters while there is more space?
[10] DVD chapter with multiple angels shows icon during whole chapter. Play a multi-angle DVD and an icon on the right top corner appears. This icon stays visible and does not disappear after a few seconds. Logically this icon will disappear after 5 seconds and appear again when the use presses the "angle" button on the remote.
[11] Outlined fonts. More and more people complain about the new subtitling with grey bar. They really prefer white fonts with a black border (outlined) instead of a big grey bar.
[12] Goto (time search) function for DivX. One thing this player lacks, but dunno if it's a mistake / bug : no time search / goto for Divx, and that's a pity. Other Philips players do have this feature (630, 737) when you press DISPLAY button on the remote, after you just enter the desired time. It's really practical, when you stop watching a movie and you want to go to the point you stopped.... Other MEDIATEK players all have this feature! The 720 player do have this feature in the firmware !!! Someone used another remote from Philips with a goto buttton, and he managed to display on the screen the time search feature ! So it's in the firmware but we can't activate it actually.

M'n vriendin was overrompeld dat ik binnen 1 minuut alle rariteiten uit het apparaat opgelost had door v34 te flashen (ik had hem nog op een CD staan toevallig). ;-)
