Ook nog es een poging wagen

Mp3 klinkt niet slecht maar heeft formaatbeperkingen! Pre-echo en post-echo zullen bv nooit echt helemaal weggewerkt kunnen worden zonder mp3tjes te produceren die niet iso-compatible zijn.
Mpc heeft naar mijn mening veel betere kwaliteit boven de 160kbps dan elk ander lossy formaat en daarom gebruik ik dit ook om m'n cd's te archiveren. Dibrom, een developer van de lame code en maker van de alt-presets, gebruikt zelf mpc om zijn muziek te op te slaan en niet lame, denk daar maar es over na.
Volgens hem komt de hoogste kwaliteit mp3 (320 kbps insane lame) in de buurt maar zitten er, door de formaatbeperkingen, nog steeds artifacts in die gewoon niet kunnen weggewerkt worden zonder oncompatible mp3 te produceren.
En waarom zou je nog het r3mix profile gebruiken als er ondertussen veeeel betere alternatieven zijn??

Maar zoals ik al gezegd heb gebruik ik enkel nog mpc (musepack) dat met het --standard profile een kwaliteit afleverd waar mp3 enkel maar van kan dromen.
