Common Causes & Fixes
- VRAM / RAM Exhaustion:
- Over time, high texture settings, photogrammetry, or terrain pre-caching can fill up your VRAM and system RAM.
- Fix: Lower texture resolution, reduce Terrain/Object LOD, or disable ReBAR for MSFS 2024 via Nvidia Profile Inspector to free up VRAM. Ensure you have at least 32GB of system RAM if running heavy add-ons.
- AI Traffic & Mod Injection (e.g., FSLTL):
- Background traffic injectors often accumulate data or fail to clear models properly, tanking performance after 15–30 minutes.
- Fix: Disable external traffic injection programs or lower live/multiplayer traffic density in the simulator settings to test if performance stabilizes.
- Fauna & Wildlife Bugs:
- Specific animal spawns have been known to heavily burden the CPU and trigger severe frame drops in certain regions.
- Fix: Turn off Fauna in the simulator's data/general settings menu.
