Klopt, net als de DS720+ en DS220+. Dat is deze officieel.

Ik had ook verwacht dat de output van dmidecode ook deze snelheid zou aangeven. Wat je ziet aan de verschillende output is dat deze op 2400 staat geconfigureerd. Ik vraag mij af hoe dat nu precies zit.

Beetje jammer. Want nu is het verwarrend.

Een 4GB kingston module er in gestopt, tijdens de memcheck krijg ik dus een fout (error code 4 en illegal memory layout).
Moet ik mij daar zorgen om maken, of is dat gewoon vanwege het feit dat het geen originele module is?
Hij draait verder gewoon, dus het zal wel loslopen denk ik. En van pakweg 50 naar 20% gebruik

Edit, dit is de module, de errors komen misschien omdat het een 2e handsje is, zonder ESD bescherming wat rondgezworven.

Misschien even toelichten wat er gebeurd?
Het opstarten duurt langer (want meer geheugen) dus hoeveel tijd heb je erover heen laten gaan?

Bij mij was het, met 12Gb, overigens een kwestie van 3 tot 5 minuten wachten maar werkt probleemloos nu

Wat ik wel begrepen heb is dat (in ieder geval voor de grotere modules) je Dual Rank geheugen nodig hebt.
En wat mij opgevallen is is dat Crucial, onder hetzelfde basis nummer, Single Rank en Dual Rank verkoopt.
Het verschil is zo een twee drie niet zichtbaar volgens mij dus let goed op wat je koopt.

Mijn module is bijvoorbeeld de 8Gb CT8G4SFRA266.C8FJ (link)en ik denk dat de codering van .C8FJ bepaald dat het Dual Rank is maar die code staat niet op de verpakking.

Controleer even of het geheugenkaartje wel helemaal goed in de bank geklikt is, je moet best wat kracht zetten.

Iedereen bedankt voor het meedenken. Ik heb de Crucial CT4G4SFS8266 geheugenmodule meerdere malen erin en eruit gedaan en natuurlijk goed aangedrukt. Steeds meerdere minuten gewacht bij het opstarten.

Ik heb als alternatief nu deze Samsung M471A5244CB0-CTD module en die werkt wel. Inmiddels ook succesvol de mem test doorlopen Ook geen melding "non-Synology memory module".

Ik heb deze module ook gekocht. Meteen in mijn gloednieuwe ds220+ geprikt en aangezet. Maar ik zie niks…..
Systeem geeft nog steeds standaard geheugen weer van de DS.
Heb em al een keer verwijderd en opnieuw ingeprikt maar tevergeefs.

Wat doe ik fout???
Of heb ik gewoon een brakke module?

Net een geheugenupgrade gedaan van mijn DS220+. Ik heb een 16GB SoDimm via Marktplaats gekocht onder het mom: "werkt het niet verkoop ik het wel weer". Maar,.....

Geen centje pijn. Gewoon de 4GB Crucial SoDimm er uit gehaald en de 16GB module er in. Dit was het resultaat:

Ik heb net een CT4G4SFS8266.C8FG gekocht. 4 GB.

De eerste keer dat ik het probeerde, had ik hem niet correct geplaatst. De NAS startte maar registreerde de nieuwe module niet. Daarna heb ik mijn best gedaan, maar de NAS startte gedurende 30 minuten niet. Ik heb het vele malen geprobeerd in te voeren, maar zonder succes. Als deze erin zit, start de NAS niet.

Hoe kan ik testen of het geheugen verder goed is voordat ik het terugstuur?

Gekocht via CoolBlue - zie nu dat dit beslist niet de goedkoopste was, maar goed, het werkt. Ondertussen is er een reepje van 16GB onderweg nog uit Duitsland... Als die ook werkt zal ik dat hier posten. En dan deze nogmaals in een DS224+ van een klant proberen te slijten.

Hoe is het gegaan met je 16GB test, en welke is dat geworden? Ik lees ergens dat de Crucial CT16G4SFD824A een optie is, en ik las ook dat iemand de Kingston KCP426SD8/16 heeft gebruikt, maar dat leek wel een melding te geven.
