Edit: Systeeminfo toont hem gewoon op de USB 3.1 bus zonder iets ingeprikt. De tests zijn ook hoger dan de 340 Mbit/s uit het artikel. Ik haal iig 593 Mbit/s haalde net 659 Mbit/s.
Speedtest.net op iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2017)
(Ingebouwde ethernet-kaart lijkt wel standaard iets sneller te zijn. Die haalt iets vaker 700+. )
Q. I am not able to reach the full 1Gbps speed
A. Actually our hubs feature 'up to 4K@60Hz' HDMI video output. For that to work properly on our Multiport hub we need to have our hub in default of USB2.0 speeds (theoretic max of 480Mbps). Having said that, our hubs have a switching protocol which steps up to USB3.1 Gen1 when a USB3.0/3.1 device (i.e. memory stick) is inserted. With the hub stepping up to USB3.1 Gen1 also the ethernet port will achieve the max 1Gbps speeds and the HDMI output will step down to 4K@30Hz to prioritize bandwidth for USB3.1 Gen1 usage.
4K@60Hz is dus alleen mogelijk als de USB controller in USB2.0 draait aldus de fabrikant. In de eerder genoemde review wordt hier niet over gerept. Kan iemand dit misschien bevestigen? Verder is het wel een leuke deal. Overweeg het voor mijn nieuwe M1 pro.
