Dat is geen vereiste. Je moet Active EBU-deelnemer zijn:Donstil schreef op dinsdag 06 mei 2014 @ 22:52:
Edit: Rusland? Die zit toch helemaal niet in de EU?
Eligible participants include Active Members (as opposed to Associate Members) of the EBU. Active members are those who are located in states that fall within the European Broadcasting Area, or are member states of the Council of Europe.[24]
The European Broadcasting Area is defined by the International Telecommunication Union:[25]
The "European Broadcasting Area" is bounded on the west by the western boundary of Region 1 (see below), on the east by the meridian 40° East of Greenwich and on the south by the parallel 30° North so as to include the northern part of Saudi Arabia and that part of those countries bordering the Mediterranean within these limits. In addition, Azerbaijan and those parts of the territories of Iraq, Jordan, Syrian Arab Republic, Turkey and Ukraine lying outside the above limits are included in the European Broadcasting Area.
Ja dat gebeurt ook en dát is onzin. Wiki:Dus het is onzin maar daarna zeg je dat het wel zo is?
Since 2000, the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Spain have automatically qualified for the final, regardless of their positions on the scoreboard in previous contests, as they are the four biggest financial contributors to the EBU.[45] These countries became known as the "Big Four".[70] Germany became the first "Big Four" country to win the contest since the rule was made in 2000, when Lena Meyer-Landrut won the 2010 contest. On 31 December 2010, it was announced that Italy would also automatically qualify for the final, joining the other four qualifiers to become the "Big Five".[71] This decision was controversial: Turkey withdrew from the 2013 contest with the status of the "Big Five" being one of the reasons cited.[72]
