Default Outn00bing a n00b. Funny bedtime story !
Prologue:
I;m a level 32 Berserker called Epyon, King2 is a level 20 Sorcerer.
Chapter 1, the fraud
King2 was in town, yelling to people they could earn 400k fast.
So I whispered him I was interested. He told me to go to Guild Arena so he could kill me and get skulls. (I'm new to that so I was afraid to get a purple skull or something, but turned out it was ok)
After 1 hour I asked my money. He said he also needed some other skulls and that I would get 2 million. I said ok.
After 30 more minutes he said he was done.
I asked my money.
He asked to show me my weapon. It;s a +8 Halbert with 7 level 3 Earth Stones. Took me buttloads of cash. He said: I give you 500m in 10 minutes if you give me that weapon. (by then it started dawning on me I just been getting killed for 1.5 hours and get 0 gold from it).
Chapter 2: the setup
He said: give me the weapon you get 500m. I said no. In the meantime I started my laptop, and loaded up my 2nc account. With the mule I went to AH and bought the same weapon for 14.000 gil, a real crappy Halbert but with same purple name. I quickly trade it to my main.
King2 was getting impatient. I said: I want to see the money first. He said: you get it in 10 minutes !
I said: and my 400k? (as if that matters when I get 500m). He said yes yes yes. I also give you my weapon it;s good.
Chapter 3: the trade
This was the tricky part. I needed to put the fake halbert in trade without him checking the wares. So, I put in the real halbert, he put in all his money (around 120k). He pressed 'lock'.
I cancelled and asked him if he would really give me my gold.
He said: yes yes yes!
I traded, put in the real halbert and he put in his gold.
I cancelled again and said: hey you said I would also get your staff.
He said yes ok !
So I traded, put in the real halbert and cancelled after about 2 seconds.
I once more said: are you sure I get my 500m in 10 minutes because I have to go to sleep soon.
He said: YEESSSSS (good, he was very very impatient now)
I said: ok. I put in the fake halbert, he put in his staff (+8 4/4 unique level 20, worth around 250k) and all his gold, 120k. He was so eager to press lock that he was at the AH before he noticed there was something wrong.
Epiloge: 50 million @ AH
Once he noticed the fake halbert, he demanded the real one et cetera. I told him to get my 500m within 10 minutes (as was the original deal). So after about 10 minutes of a lot of cursing and demanding various stuff he was mad and logged.
I put his staff in the AH for 50.000.000 gold, bought me a beer from his 120k and I wrote this post just to humiliate him further.
