Amsterdam, 22 May 2006: The ROUTE 66 Mobile 7 navigation solution is integrated in the Nokia Navigation Pack LD-2, which provides multimedia maps, driving directions and handsfree and music functionality at the touch of a button
The combined package, made up of the Multimedia Car Kit CK-20W and the Nokia Navigation Pack LD-2, includes the ROUTE 66 Mobile 7 navigation solution, which works with most S60 based Nokia mobile devices (including the popular Nseries and Eseries) and other S60 compatible devices, as well as a GPS receiver to hook up with the Multimedia Car Kit CK-20W. The GPS receiver is installed in the car for optimum performance and does not require charging, eliminating the stress of having a low battery. The driving directions are shown on the display of the mobile device. The map with driving directions is scalable. Navigation voice prompts are conveyed over the car’s speakers.
The Nokia Multimedia Car Kit CK-20W always gives priority to voice communication. The operating concept ensures, for example, that music playback is automatically muted when a telephone call comes in or a navigation voice prompt is played. In the case of the navigation function, the user may opt for an alternative setting that allows both the phone audio and the navigation voice output to be switched on simultaneously or for a short beep for each change in direction to alert the user to check the route on the display of the mobile phone.

The Nokia Multimedia Car Kit CK-20W and the Nokia Navigation Pack LD-2 with the ROUTE 66 Mobile 7 navigation solution are compatible with the following mobile devices: Nokia 3250, Nokia 6630, Nokia 6670, Nokia 6680, Nokia 6681, Nokia E50, Nokia E60, Nokia E61, Nokia E70, Nokia N70, Nokia N71, Nokia N72, Nokia N73, Nokia N80, Nokia N91, Nokia N92 and Nokia N93. Both products are expected to be available in the third quarter of 2006. Depending on the destination, various versions of the ROUTE 66 Mobile 7 navigation solution are available, each covering a country or region in Europe or North America (USA and Canada).
