Dear ********
i got one file that i did test including 6 subtitles, and this did
work fine, i guess it was DivX6, but until final version has been
released we cannot say anything about this.
About the Packetbitstream problem it's not really a problem of
DVX6600/6700 it is limitation of the MTK chipset, it needs many
resources to playback PBS files. As you could see Version1 of Firmware
for DVX6700 does play them well. But due to new features concerning
subtitle suport they had to change something and PBS encoded files are
playing jerky with later firmware versions.
About the USB i never tried such a thing, maybe it can be done, don't
know much about the Ethernet/USB protocol.
About a USB-hub i doubt it will work, there are some limitations for
the USB connections.
For a HDD it only supports the first partition.
If you connect a 6in1 card reader or such a thing it wont' work, a
single card reader does work fine.(It's possbiel that the first
physical card slot is detected but i didn't know what slot it was)
MX-205 does support SRT/SUB subtitles, but at the moment this feature
needs some adjustments(Language character support, and visual changes
will be done), we are working on firmware updates to support
all countries with proper subtitle support.
MX-205 and it's chipset are quite new on the market, so there are
still things that have to be done.
OGG is not supported.
Also HDTV the chipset cannot handle, therefore you have to take a more
enhanced chipset which did cost lets say 30 euro more, customers are
not willing to spend so much more for it at the moment, or just a few
do really need this.
We will surely offer different player later this year with support for
all of these things as HDTV broadcasting did start by end of this year
and will be widely available until WC2006
MfG,Best Regards
