1. What is the Buddy DualPRO™?
The Buddy DualPRO™ is a bundle of components that,
when you run the BeTwin software, turns one
PC into two. The DualPRO™ (standard) comes
complete with BeTwin software license, PCI Video, keyboard
and mouse, and USB hub, to allow you to locate the
station up to fifteen feet from your host computer.
Extension kits are also available.
2. What type of computer is required for the
Buddy BeTwin software and DualPRO™ kit components?
The minimum requirement is a Pentium 233 MHz
processor (or equivalent) with 128MB of memory (RAM)
(64MB for the host and 64MB per Buddy DualPRO™
installation). The product runs under Windows 98, 98SE,
and Millennium Edition. Windows 95 is NOT supported. In
general the faster your CPU and the more RAM you have,
the better overall performance you will have on both the
Host PC and the Buddy Station. For 3-4 user systems
(Host and 2 or 3 Buddy DualPRO™Stations) it is highly
recommended that the host have a Pentium III 600 MHz
or higher with 64MB RAM per user station.
3. How can two use a single computer at the
same time?
The Buddy DualPRO™has its own monitor keyboard
and mouse, connected by a USB/Video cable to the
computer. Each person uses the computer independently.

4. Is there any slowdown on the computer?
When both users' applications are up and running, each user
notices no negative effects from the other user. This can vary
according to the amount of disk access required, and the amount
of RAM you have (recommended: 64 MB per user, including
computer host, so one DualPRO installation needs a total of
at least 128 MB RAM).

5. Can the same applications be run simultaneously?
Certainly, provided the software itself allows multiple users (you
should check your software user agreements too).
6. What can be shared with the Buddy DualPRO™?
Internet connection, CD-ROM, modem, fax, and printers, multimedia
devices.
7. Does the Buddy console allow me to view video clips and
listen to music or other sounds?
Yes, DualPRO™supports full multimedia sound and video. Add a set of
speakers to your DualPRO 4-port hub, and you've got sound!
8. What operating systems will Buddy DualPRO™support?
Currently Windows 98, 98SE, and ME. Buddy does not work on
Windows 3.1 or Windows NT systems. For Windows 2000 and XP,
call us at 902-830-3994 and we'll take care of your needs.
9. What networks will the Buddy DualPRO™ support?
Currently Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Novell.
10. What do I get when I buy a Buddy DualPRO kit?
You get the DualPRO kit components AND your own BeTwin license
number. As soon as your order is processed, we'll email you a
license number, and a link to the BeTwin software, and manual.
This way, you'll always be starting off the with latest and greatest
software version!
11. What's the return policy?
You have 7 days to try the software without registering (it works for
four hours at a time, before automatically shutting down). Once you
register it, the software is not returnable. Any DualPRO components
that do not have warranty cards included automatically carry a
ninety day warranty.
12. What other stuff can I connect to my DualPRO setup?
DualPRO comes with a 4-port USB hub, so you can plug in pretty much
any USB devices: scanner, joystick, printer, speakers, hard drives.
BeTwin software should recognize any USB devices.
