Good day!

How can I find out what model I have? I think it's a BUVA. Not sure which type. I want to see if there is a model with better noise insulation.

Can I take the cover off somehow? I don't want to break anything

Also: it seems there is a gap between the cover and the wall - does this affect the noise insulation?

Thank you!

If it is BUVA then Google tells me that the only model that looks like yours is the TopStream model.

With that information you can surely find the documentation you need to answer your questions.

The biggest communication problem is we do not listen to understand. We listen to reply.

Your previous topic was closed for a reason here: Company to replace ventilatierooster. We are a Dutch forum, please post in Dutch. You've chosen a Dutch nickname as well. We also have a policy to find stuff out yourself via regular means (search engines, reverse image search, etc) untill you have exhausted regular search options and only then consullt the forum.

The most commonly used type of vents are Buva or Duco around here. I would suggest searching those two brands for their technical drawings/installation manuals. Mind you, if you want added noise insulation, the vent will stick out on the living room side. It is called a 'suskast'.

This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
