Mijn vraag

Hi All, I have underfloor heating with district heating (Vattenfall). There are some cold spots on the floor and when I try to test increasing the temperature It won't go over 22.5 degrees (I won't set it this high but It should be able to increase it). I have a flow of ~ 200 L/H from Vattenfall device but when I called them they told it should be around 237 normally.

The setup I have:

They told me it might be air bubbles affecting the flow but I think in the second picture there should be air vent valve.

Also I tried to check with an IR camera and saw there some spots with no heating which shouldn't be the case I think.

Can you please help me what could be the reason for it? how can I fix it? or should I leave it as it is.

Thanks a lot!

If you point the IR camera to the manifold (verdeler), are all return and supply temperatures about equal and above 25°C ? If not, then air can be an issue and it should be purged one circuit at a time. If they are about equal, then the cold spots simply don't have an underfloor tube and there is not much you can do.

The air valve could be closed, by the way.

@Proton_ Thank you for you reply and sorry for the late response!

I checked them so while the heating are working the supply temperatures are in the range of 58 to 60 something like this for the return some of them are 22.5 some are higher 26. So it might seem like I need to do the purger you're talking about.

Im the vattenvall device the entering temperature is around 70 and the return is around 22.5 - 23.

I checked the document provided by the company when they installed the underfloor heating (that was long time ago 2008) and it seems there should be pipes covering all places.

Can you tell me please how to do the purge one circuit at a time?

And sure for I can use google translate for the dutch answers, I know a little bit dutch but still not good enough for such discussions :D

Thanks a lot!

Certified by Enphase.

Purging one circuit at the time:
- Connect a hose one the water tap on one end and the other end on the floor-heating distributor on the A-side.
- Connect another hose on the distributor on the B-side and the other end of the hose in the sink/sewer/toilet/on to the street
- Close all the valves one the distributor, exept one.
- flush the distributor and the open circuit several minuts with drinking water.
- Repeat this on each circuit.
