Hello,
I have recently bought a house in Flanders with luchtverwarming. The system still works but the installation dates back to the 70s. I am planning to renovate it by installing a new ketel and keeping the existing kanals.
Here are my questions:
1. How can we know the power of the new kettel (in W) that would be sufficient in order to heat the whole house (300m2)? Is there a system of calculation of the air volume needed like the calculation system with the radiators?
2. The air which goes to the ketel is extracted from a beton kanal inside the wall of the salon (aangezogen lucht). When the air is aspired, there is a lot of noise (something like the dampkap in the kitchen). Is it possible to extract the air not from the inside of the house but from the exterior? Or directly from the basement where the ketel is? Can the problem be connected with the dimension of the beton kanal? Has anyone similar experience with noisy luchtverwarming?
3. Brink or Multicalor? Are there any other brands for gas luchtverwarming (not pellets)?
Many thanks for your feedback. Please feel free to answer in nederlands and I will manage via google translation.
All best,
Yan

No answer to your question, but why not switch from heating with luchtverwarming to heating with AC? Lucht/lucht warmtepomp om mee te verwarmen en te koelen

Thanks for your kind reaction. However the heatpomp system is not sufficient for older houses with limited isolation. It is perfect and energy saver for new constructions only.
