Voor mij zijn de volgende lines van (of all people) Ja Rule nog steeds ongenadig hard en heeft hij hiermee, wat mij betreft, de hele feud met Eminem gewonnen.

Dit kan je gewoon niet serieus bedoelen toch? Met die paar voor de hand liggende lines zou Ja Rule de hele feud hebben gewonnen? *kuch*

Ook even naast mij neerleggen dat het die lines waren die juist de feud tussen Eminem en Ja Rule begon ipv dat er een feud mee is beëindigt, zijn het verre van sterke bars... hard en persoonlijk ja, maar het waren onder andere juist die paar zinnen waardoor Ja Rule een hoop respect verloor omdat de feud oftewel de diss tracks binnen "the game" gehouden horen te worden. Nadat Ja Rule dat had gezegd sprongen er nóg meer rappers in de feud om te laten weten dat hij daarmee zwakte had getoond. Zelfs Busta Rhymes had er wat over te zeggen en die deed helemaal niet aan diss tracks.

Hierna was de carrier van Ja Rule juist zo goed als over... die bars waren zijn doodsteek ipv een overwinning.

Als in je houdt het bij de mensen die binnen je "professionele sfeer" actief zijn, je gaat niet achter de mensen uit het privéleven aan die zich in die zin dus niet verbaal kunnen verdedigen. De vrouw van Biggie (Faith Evans) maakte deel uit van zijn muziekwereld en Junior Mafia uiteraard ook.

Zelfde verhaal met MGK... Eminem gaf hem nog een grammetje aandacht, totdat MGK over zijn dochter begon.

Zag toevallig gisteravond in een van de roddel showbiz programma's dat er een russische rapper aandacht aan de oorlog had besteed in z'n nieuwe videoclip en was eerder al tegengekomen dat weer een andere zich al eerder openlijk had uitgesproken tegen de inval. Deze tweede, Oxxxymiron, houdt vanavond dus een benefiet concert in Turkije (concerten in Rusland had ie allemaal afgeblazen). Als het goed is zou het op Youtube en Twitch gestreamd moeten worden

31 mei ga ik naar De la Soul, niet helemaal wat ik normaal luister maar leek me live wel vet.
Kwam net dit album tegen, altijd leuk om nieuwe artiesten op Spotify te ontdekken.

Ik luister van alles, bijvoorbeeld Brockhampton, Vince Staples, Goldlink, Earl Sweatshirt (zijn nieuwe album is denk ik mijn favoriete album van dit jaar so far) A$AP Rocky, JPEGMAFIA, Saba, Action Bronson, Mac Miller, Danny Brown, slowthai, Tyler the Creator, en Childish Gambino. Deel hier even wat meer underground/alternatieve artiesten die misschien wat minder bekend zijn.

MF-Doom is denk ik mijn favoriete artiest. Deze intro is wel wat lang maar een fan mijn favoriete nummers.

De Chris Brown diss naar Quavo is ook vrij aardig, maar raptechnisch niet zo. In de Amerikaanse scene is het laatste tijd zo hectisch ook met de geruchten / rechtzaken rondom Diddy. Meek Mill die nu veel imagoschade lijdt ook.

"Got Yourself a Gun" is geproduceerd door L.E.S. en werd uitgebracht als onderdeel van Nas' zesde studioalbum "Stillmatic" uit 2001. Het nummer werd een van de meest iconische tracks van het album en werd geprezen vanwege zijn intense beat en Nas' scherpe teksten.
Het nummer was het antwoord van Nas op de rapper Jay-Z's diss-track "Takeover". In "Takeover" viel Jay-Z Nas aan en beschuldigde hem van het imiteren van Biggie Smalls. "Got Yourself a Gun" was Nas' reactie waarin hij zijn reputatie en zelfrespect verdedigde tegen de aanvallen van Jay-Z. Wat ik je ook wil adviseren is om in de artiesten van het UK label 'High Focus' te duiken... flinke diversiteit aan rappers, ook ongelooflijk goede 'boom bap' rappers zoals ze het in NY bijna vergeten zijn hoe het te maken. Leaf Dog, Dirty Dike, Four Owls, BVA, Fliptrix, DatKid, King Kashmere... etc, nog vele anderen.

Als het om recente artiesten gaat, ik kan geen genoeg krijgen van JID... maar ken je vast al mag ik hopen? Album van Killer Mike is erg goed, Eric The Architect.

Wat ik je ook wil adviseren is om in de artiesten van het UK label 'High Focus' te duiken... flinke diversiteit aan rappers, ook ongelooflijk goede 'boom bap' rappers zoals ze het in NY bijna vergeten zijn hoe het te maken. Leaf Dog, Dirty Dike, Four Owls, BVA, Fliptrix, DatKid, King Kashmere... etc, nog vele anderen.

Ik heb zelfs toevallig een selfie kunnen krijgen met JID tijdens zijn concert in de Paradiso! Hij kwam toevallig z'n trailer uit en ik stond oog in oog en twijfelde echt aan mezelf. Zie ik nou JID of ben ik lijp. Gelijk fototje gemaakt!

Ik ga het label checken! Zeker in de zomer heb ik wel wat zin in boom bap. Qua rappers uit de UK neig ik zelf toch vaak naar de meer boze, gangster type rap. Ik kan heerlijk gaan op Potter Payper en Fredo.

Euphoria, 6:16 en Meet the Grahams zijn smerige tracks. Man, man, man wat is Kenny toch genadeloos. Drake houdt het nog aardig vol met zijn Family Matter track, maar het topt de 3 tracks van Kendrick echt niet. Ik ben stom verbaasd hoe Kendrick zo snel zo veel tracks heeft gedropt. Ik geniet zo erg van dit.

Gravediggaz was een unieke rapgroep gevormd in de vroege jaren 90, bestaande uit RZA, Prince Paul, Frukwan en Too Poetic (die later werd vervangen door Grym Reaper). Black Moon was een prominente groep binnen de legendarische hiphopcollectief, de Boot Camp Clik.
