Ik heb net precies hetzelfde probleem gehad. Ik zou een cancellation fee van ~150 euro moeten betalen wat echt absurd is. Mijn abonnement was stilzwijgend in februari verlengd en ik kwam hiet niet zo lang geleden achter. De werkwijze is inderdaad zoals eerder beschreven:
Je moet aangeven dat je het vreemd vind dat er een cancellation fee in rekening gebracht gaat worden als je annuleert en dat dit niet mag onder Dutch Law. De eerste paar keer proberen ze je uit te leggen dat als je binnen de eerste 14 dagen annuleert, dat het dan gratis is. Na het een paar keer aan te geven, geven ze in.
Bij mij hebben ze niet gezegd dat het een 'uitzondering' ofzoiets was. Voor degene die hier ook te maken mee hebben, dit was het gesprek. Ik hoop dat anderen hier ook wat aan hebben:

I wanted to cancel it myself, but the cancelation fee is not right
The first plan I got was an annual plan. On the 9th of February, this plan ended and a new one started without me signing for it

I understand that you wish to cancel your subscription if you wish to continue, I can best offer you the same subscription at a discounted price of EUR 16.25/month (excl. taxes) and on top of that I can give you three months free again on a new subscription. So, you will be charged EUR 16.25/month excl. tax for the first month and after that you will get three free months.
I see after before renewal date you didn't make any changes on the subscription so the plan automatically renewed.
In one month prior to the renewal date we have sent you a renewal reminder email to your registered email address that is to continue or stop the subscription.

Under Dutch law, automatically renewing a contract is fine with a maximum cancelation term of 1 month
The 30,24 euros that I paid today is legitimate, but the cancellation fee is not
The specific law that guard this right is: Wet Van Dam
I'd like to receive a confirmation that my plan is cancelled and that the cancellation fee will not be deducted from my card
as the cancellation fee is against the Dutch consumerlaw

As much as we would like to help you with the refund on the transaction(s), you will not be eligible to get the refund if the cancellation/refund request isn't within 14 days of the first bill date.
To explain the process of 14 days cancellation and refund policy better, our Customers will be given an option to choose the cancellation within 14 days of the first bill date; wherein, the full refund on the first month's payment will be processed and there will be no additional fee applied for cancelling the product.
Cancellation now would attract you to early cancellation fee as well.

As I said before, the cancellation fee is against the Dutch law as it violates the Wet Van Dam. I have already consulted a lawyer on this and would like to cancel without the illegitimate cancellation fee
I would like to receive the confirmation of the cancellation and the removal of the cancellation fee in writing
