Mijn vraag

I am building my first proper gaming PC after about 8 years of not having a gaming pc and need some help with compatibility and parts. Your help and aid in answering my questions would be much appreciated.

Are all the part below compatible?
I checked the CPU and MOBO and it has 2011 connection so that looks good
Anything else I need to watch out for?
Is the power supply sufficient?

How much faster is the i7-6900 compared to the 6700? Should I go with a 6700 and different motherboard?

Do I need more fans?
The case comes with 3 and I have a heatsink fan but will this be enough?

Is there anything I am missing that I need?

I know this build is over kill. :D

Any and all advice and critisizm is welcome as I dont want to order a wrong part.

Thanks and looking forward to your responses.

Can you tell us more? Like:
-What do you want to do with your new system? (Like playing on 4k, ultra 60FPS)
-What may your new system cost
-Do you take stuff to your new system?
-What do you think you will need
-Will you overclock
-What do you want to hear from us

I don't think an i7 6900k will give more FPS in games. But if you want to code or something. A i7 6900k is a better option. And 1000 watt, isn't that over-overkill? About the SSD. Why a 950 pro? A sandisk ultra II would already be enough?

Two 1080's are more likely to harm your performance than it will do any good.

This PC is just overkill on a whole new level.

Another Question:

Is it better have 4 smaller RAM or 2 bigger ones? I reads online the less parts the faster as it only have to access 2 instead of 4? correct?

4k ultra FPS - already have a curved monitor

-What may your new system cost

4.5k so a little over but that's no problem

-Do you take stuff to your new system?

no my old Alienware is 6+ years and dead

-What do you think you will need

A computer that will be good for the next 5 years with minimal upgrades

-Will you overclock

Potentially/ would like the possibility - is the Cryorig R1 Universal enough or do I need more fans?

The questions I asked above

I don't think an i7 6900k will give more FPS in games. But if you want to code or something. A i7 6900k is a better option.

http://cpu.userbenchmark....-Core-i7-6700K/3605vs3502

There is a clear difference in 6900 but of course it costs twice as much. I just got a lot of tax back (didn't declare my tax for 2 years when I worked part-time and want to spend it on a rig that will last a while. If i went with the followig:

Intel Core i7-6700K Boxed
Asus TUF Sabertooth Z170 S

What else should I upgrade in its place?

And 1000 watt, isn't that over-overkill?
Well the calculate come to
Load Wattage: 716 W
Recommended PSU Wattage: 766 W

and if I get the oculus rift, add RAM in 5 years, add more fans or upgrade I thought its best to be sure.
Plus the prie of this one that is platinum is comparable to the other 700-900 W ones

About the SSD. Why a 950 pro? A sandisk ultra II would already be enough?

http://www.hardware-revol...id-state-drive-july-2016/
Samsung 950 Pro PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2
Highly recommended if your computer has a M.2 PCIe 3.0 x 4 slot.
If you want higher performance than the Toshiba OCZ RD400 can offer, then the Samsung 950 Pro is the way to go.

Ideal for workstations, high-end PCs, any demanding workload, any environment where reliability, sustained performance, endurance and/or a long warranty matters.
Because I messed up that post and I do not know how to delete or use a forum. Also everyone on that post was not useful except Flaat. Thank you Flaat for actually helping and not just complain or something.

Now that I have followed the DAA beleid please answer my questions :p

Are all the parts compatible?

Do i need more fans - if I overclock?

2 x 16 ram better then 4 x 8?

Am I missing soming?

The Motherboard comes with wifi and 7.1 sound,
so I dont need a better network card, using the rj45 99% anyways?

I have 7.1 a sound system and want to get 3d sound and steamvr, so upgrade sound card?

More fans?

samsung 950 SSD 512GB M.2 (PCI-e 3.0 x4) @ 2.500/1.500M vs

samsung 850 500GB 2.5" (SATA-600) @ 540/520MB/s or

Sandisk 960GB 2.5" (SATA-600) @ 550/500MB/s

I want the system to be awesome for a looooong time.
My pcs always over heat (smoker) What can I do to stop that? More fans and keep them clear?

Looking forward to your responses!

Just taka the i7 CPU. OK why not, it gives you some extra. But within the same batch of CPU's you also have to look at the clockspeed. There is not one game benefitting from 8 cores 16 threads.

Your choice I7 of 1100 euro clockspeed 3,2 Ghz with turbo to 4 GHz
Another chooice i7 of 350 euro clockspeed 4,0 GHz turbo 4,2 GHz

This is one example how to effectively destroy 750 euro AND have lower performance.

Switch to I7 6700K plus 170 chipset mobo, and the total savings are more than 1000 euro while having better performance.

Better performance yes, almost only better for gaming.

X99 mobo's have a quad channel compatibility - to be able to use this a minimum of 4 stacks should be used. I'd go with 4x8.

http://www.tomshardware.c...nel-ram-dual-channel.html

I'm currently on 2x16 and am thus forced to buy an extra 32 RAM to be able to use quad-channel functionality, fml.

Your questions:

Are all parts compitable:
Yes probably. But isn't your CPU cooler a bit to high. And if you buy high clocked ram. You can overclock it to :)

Do I need more fans - If I overclock:
If you overclock. You don't need fans. Because it boots your CPU. And the only thing you will need if you overclock is a better CPU cooler. Like a Scythe Fuma

2 x 16 ram better than 4 x 8:
I actually think 2x16 is an better option. Because if you still want to upgrade your 32gb you have 2 slots left

Am I missing something:
I don't think so ツ

The Motherbord comes with wifi and 7.1 sound,
So don't I need a better network card, using the rj45 99% anyways?
No, I think it will be a waste of money to buy another one. If you already get a good one.
But if you don't like it / want a better one you can always buy a better one

I have a 7.1 sound system and want to get 3d sound and steamvr, so upgrade sound card?
I think a upgrade will be the best option yea.

More fans:
If you want to make your pc lauder yes. But idk with this PC. Never saw this budget before I think.
But maybe it will better?

Hey man,

I really urge you to spend less for allot more bang/buck. The thing is that the socket 2011-3 cpu's are just not made for gaming. They are made for heavy computation and power use and gaming just is not very taxing on your PC. Just check this review

http://www.anandtech.com/...k-tested-up-to-10-cores/9

There is not 1 game that performs better on the i7 6800k then on a i7 6700k and there is one that performs significantly less, this is something that will always be the case with these CPU's. Games just like the consumer CPU's because that is what they are made for.

From years of experience I know that the best way to be future proof is to spend less, save more and upgrade later when needed. There is no way you need 2x GTX 1080 now, the card performs plenty powerfull even for 4k gaming. And the 800 euro's you do not spend now can be used to buy a new generation of card in a year and a half that will blow the GTX1080 out of the water. It is the worst feeling that what you spend 800 on now will be worth 400 in a year half, and it is a trend that has been going on for years in GPU performance land.

If i was to splurge on a good 4k gaming setup this is what i would buy, it is a sensible approach that makes sure you do not feel ripped off in the long term. Because that is were you are headed with you current build.

This will run anything you trow at it and will run it with the same if not better fps then your build (with the same GPU setup) for match much less, use that money and save it for future upgrades. It will run just as cool and just as quiet aswel. Spending it now is a waste. And even this build is overkill, you could do the same with a i5 6500 non k and a lesser motherboard, but seeing you like to spend i will not even try to recommend that.

Ps: if you live around Amsterdam and need help with the build gimme a shout

Also sound cards are bs: motherboard onboard audio will work just as fine and you will not hear the difference
