[Can we] Get some official statement when (or if ever) we will get camera and rest of main phone features what does not work now (mainly: camera, jack audio, fingerprint)? Just [a] lot of people purchased these Xperias, because Jolla promised that until xmass 2024… so [it] would be nice to get real status to decide if selling device is better solution for all who wasted money caused by Jolla promises … thanks.
[Jolla]: We'll get back to this with the dedicated topic [for the Xperia 10IV/V] that we promised earlier. We know that we get camera working, battery indicator working, maybe some others as well. Fingerprint is a hard nut to crack -- frankly, it's very likely something that won't happen.
Having a general roadmap again (and regular posts on the official Jolla blog) would be an addition to this topic - right know we all can just guess into the blue to where the journey might go on both [the] software and hardware side.
A very good [question] raised by Cryx. Thank you.
First thing is that we need to educate what is roadmap. Quite commonly what happens is that one carves the published roadmap into a stone. In reality, roadmap is a planning tool that changes over time. That's also [the] reason why rainemak has not opened too long lasting roadmaps. It just cannot be a "snapshot" from a moment. We need to have a proper public tool that we can use as a discussion platform. Surely, blog is not good for that.
Still, writing to Jolla Blog is good. We're open to take contributions to there as well. Simple fact is that writing a superior blog compared to writing to [an] announchement to Sailfish Forum takes much more time. Theoretically, we could communicate as much as you'd like, but that's always away from something else.
