Hey people! I live in Eindhoven and having this phone. I am not Dutch, hence I'm reading this forum with Google Translate till I learn a bit of the language

.
I installed CM 11.0 with Android 4.4.2 and also other 2 ROM's based on Android 4.2. I now have the stock firmware back (JB 4.1.2) and it is rooted. That's because each of the ROM has a small problem that I really hate.
CM 11.0 (and it's unofficial btw- that means that it's not so supported

)
GOOD stuff:
- better battery
- nice settings
- no Sony apps(I would only need the Stamina mode, but then again, there are apps that do the same stuff)
- overclocked the processor to 1200 Mhz
- more space
- quick boot
- possibility to clear all apps in recent apps screen
- more stuff(see Kit Kat spec)
BAD stuff:
the internet from the mobile network does not work always, there is a need to stop it and start it again a couple of times, this is what I really not liked
- the recent apps screen(that is, when you keep pressed home button) reacts slowly compared to stock firmware
Then, I have tried Enigma ROM 6.4, Terminator v2, Xperia Honami White(all based on 4.2). All of them give many UI error (System UI has been shut down or something like that) and then it restarts and then guess what, other things happen, clock+date not in the notification etc. Also for these, the recent apps screen opens really slowly because it also has Sony Small apps which I find it useful only if you have 4.5+ inch screen and better resolution.
Back to stock firmware -> I rooted it, let the CPU work in Performance governor together with deadline I/O scheduler. Now it is smoother but it's not really a powerful phone. The battery drain is not so much considering the fact that the screen drains the big part. I disabled/uninstalled a lot of things and the antutu benchmark result is similar to 4.4 CM11 one - between 9500 and 10500 so I really don't see why I need another ROM. Try also PimpMyROM app, it's cool!
I am thinking to try a custom rom based on 2.3 maybe or 4.0 that can be really smooth and uses less battery. I mean, an old computer should work with Win XP better than with 7 and it should work perfect with Ubuntu 10 (old school

).
his phone has the worst battery, Stretching out 1 hour more is useless if you have to not use its smartphone capabilities. I need performance mainly, I want to use GMaps, write an email, put a call on hold while it syncs everything in the background, stamina mode on, having an Evernote note opened...all at the same time (this kinda works on Performance governore @ 1Ghz dual core). I already have a 10 000 mAh battery when going on trip and a AA-based charger in my pocket for everyday use, a cable in the bag and of course the computer at home and work.
Cheers!
I'm sorry but this is a Dutch forum, so we expect our users to post in Dutch.
