Which laptop to choose, AMD or C2D?

Hi everyone,

I am considering buying a new laptop. Intel C2D T8100 sounds a better choice for Win. But linux is my major system. I am wondering wether AMD cpu is better supported by the linux kernel. TL-60 has similar clock but cheaper, and chipset is also cheaper.

Please leave me some advices if you have experience on this. Much Appriciation!!
BTW, i am able to read in dutch.

Processoren zijn beide even goed ondersteund door de linux kernel. Wat wel makkelijker is, is het feit dat je je C2D in 32bit kan laten lopen zonder prestatie verlies (iemand hier bevestiging voor?) en zo de ondersteuning van vrijwel alle software hebt. Als het 64 bit wordt, loop je nogal eens met bepaalde software tegen de lamp (ik geloof dat Flash ook eeuwig heeft geduurd voordat er 64bit ondersteuning voor was).

Dat doet een AMD 64 net zo makkelijk hoor
