Ik heb een p4pe moederbord met ingebouwde geluidskaart en ik heb geen geluid in mandrake 9.0

Mandrake vind automatisch de driver ICH4 845G/GL Chipset AC'97 Audio Controller maar ik krijg geen geluid... De chipset voor audio op mijn moederbord is de adi ad1980 en hiervan kan ik geen juiste driver vinden op het internet... heeft iemand ook die bordje en geluid werkend gekregen? ZO ja hoe dan?

Hij wordt blijkbaar wel geladen.. Bestaat /dev/dsp? Probeer eens:

en kijk of er gekraak uit je speakers komt :P

Mischien een hele domme vraag, maar heb je mischien je kaart ge-mute of de master of line op 0% staan? Start eens een mixer (bv aumix of kmix) en kijk of je settings kloppen.

/dev/dsp bestaat en de terminal doet niks bij echo "blaat" > /dev/dsp
en hoor ook geen geluid
