HPT366 Ultra DMA66 controller en SB Live bijten elkaar

Heb de BE6 rev 2 met daarop een soundblaster live, als ik de ATA66 controller in de bios disable, dan kan ik zonder problemen de drivers voor de SBlive installeren, enable ik daarna de ATA66 controller, dan hangt de pc tijdens het starten.
Als ik eerst de controller enable en dan probeer de drivers voor de SBlive te installeren, krijg ik van die mooie blauwe schermen
Ik heb inmiddels de SBlive in alle pci sloten geprobeerd, maar dit helpt geen ene moer.

Iemand enig idee hoe ik dit kan oplossen?

Yep, de P550E fcpga, hoezo, zouden er problemen zijn met deze cpu in combinatie met BE6, SBlive.

zijn idd problemen mee moet je ff kijken op en creative.com daar lees je een howto over iets veranderen in je registry, die moet je uitvoeren en dan heb je geen problemen meer.

werkt echt!!! (weet ik uit ervaring )

Trying to install a SoundBlaster Live! in a Pentium III 500 MHz system will cause a blue screen error in EMU10K1.

To rectify the problem, a value needs to be entered into the Windows Registry: HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Creative Tech\DeviceInfo\PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0002\MMX=”1”

If the SB Live! driver set or software package has not been installed, enter MMX=”1” in the Registry before installing the package.
After entering the value, it is possible to install the package without encountering the problem.
If the blue screen occurs while installing the package then do the following:
If it is possible to recover from the blue screen and run Regedit, then
Enter MMX=”1” in the Registry
Restart the system
Re-install the software package
If it is not possible to recover from the blue screen, then
Restart the system in Command Prompt mode by pressing F8 at start up
Delete EMU10K1.VXD in the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory
Restart the system
Enter MMX=”1” in the Registry
Re-install the software package
