Na langzoeken en proberen is het me gelukt om te printer op de printserver van
de WL-500G hele leuke wlan-router maar geen linux support.
Het kan wel en hieronder heb ik de uitleg die ik graag wil delen.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Printing with the WL 500G printserver under suse linux9.0/9.1
(wl-500g firmw re 1.8.1.9)
I used p rralel printer on the centronics 25 pol sub-d connector.
The asus WL-500G uses linux to do its work.
For printing its use LPR.Very common in linux.
Before you can start you most know the ip-nr of WL-500G if you use the factory standard then your ip is 192.168.1.1.
In this document we are using the basic ip of 192.168.1.1
The WL-500G has printer spool n med LPRServer (i think it is case sensitive)so be aware.
We are using CUPS to do the job.
Start up YAST2
goto to HARDWARE
then to PRINTERS
configure new printer
Choose dd printer
Now add LPD Style networkserver
Choose add printer
The YAST2 screen that then apears you fill in:
In the first box the ip number factory stand rd is 192.168.1.1
and the second the name of the queue LPRServer
Very IMPORTANT (it takes me hours to find this one)
Make sure you cross automatic multi queues
L st but not least choose your printer.Finish nd you can print fully with print server of ASUS WL-
500G
This work fine KDE's KPRINTER you see lp as printer queue
