Harddisk NCQ op normale SATA?

Ik kon zo gauw geen antwoord op het forum vinden hierover.

Is het mogelijk dat je een S-ATA schijf van bv seagate met NCQ aansluit op de normale S-ATA controller van mijn Nforce3 250 bord.?

Ik weet dat ik NCQ dan niet kan inschakelen maar werkt het dan wel, of gaat dit helemaal niet werken?

S-ATA II is prima backwards compatible met S-ATA 1. Het is misschien handig wat meer research te doen, zo weet je zelf precies wat S-ATA II precies inhoudt en welke voordelen het heeft t.o.v. S-ATA 1. Zie bijvoorbeeld dit artikel:

Ja hoor, geen probleem. NCQ gaat alleen niet werken.

Jup, maar je kan natuurlijk wel een SATA controller kopen die het wel ondersteund
