MSI Neo2 mb vervangen door Asus P4P800 -> brander traag

Hi Folks,

Ik had een MSI Neo2 mainboard, deze heb ik echter vervangen door een ASUS P4P800. Nu is het zo dat toen ik mijn Neo2 had, mijn brander (Plextor PX712-A) heel traag was (half uur voor dvd) Toen ik bij Properties for IDE Channel hem op DMA if availble zette dat hij op volledige snelheid brande (+/- 14 min)

Nu heb ik DMA weer op availble gezet, maar het branden duurd weer een half uur. Dit wordt veroorzaakt dat mijn buffer naar 99 schiet, hij even brand, terug loopt naar 0% (niet brand) en weer naar 99 gaat (wel weer branden) Dit proces herhaalt zich continue.

Mijn brander zit op de secondaire IDE als Master.

Heeft iemand dit probleem al eerder gehad, of weet er een oplossing voor.

Ik heb exact hetzelfde met 1 van mijn pc's. Alleen ik heb een p4c800 .. in het begin had ik deze problemen nooi. Herinstallatie van chipset drivers helpt niet

Ik heb op de asus website hier nog niets over kunnen vinden, zijn er geen aangepaste chipset drivers hier voor ?

Overgens heb ik even gekeken ik heb ook een Asus p4c800.

Overgens, in in de bios zit nergens een optie over DMA

Onderstaant van asus ontvangen, lijkt me allemaal erg sterk..

Please clear your system C-MOS. Make sure to disconnect the power and remove the battery before shorting the CLRTC jumper or damage may result to your MB.
Make sure you are using an 80 conductor shielded ATA cable like the one that came with your MB. Connect only ONE device to the BLACK CONNECTOR at the end of the cable and set the drive for CABLE SELECT. Connect the BLUE connector to the IDE port on the MB. Then, go into the system BIOS and load the setup defaults. Once you get one drive detected, you may add the second drive to the gray connector if applicable and jump it as CABLE SELECT as well. Please try another ATA cable if that doesn't work.

If that still doesn't work, then please check that the MB is not picking up EMI interference or improperly grounding against the case. Please remove the MB from the case and set it up DIRECTLY on the cardboard box it came in or some other non-static, non-conductive surface like a telephone book. Connect up everything to the MB and see if the problem persists. If this corrects the problem, you will need to electrically isolate the MB from the case. You will need to use electrical tape over the brass stand-offs that support the MB to the case and use the red paper washers between the screw heads and the MB. The red paper washers should have came with your case hardware or they can be purchased at Radio Shack or a computer store. Also double check that a motherboard standoff is NOT placed in a spot where the motherboard is not designed to be grounded, as some cases will have different standoff locations to accommodate different styled of motherboards. Also check that there are no other metal objects that could contact the motherboard or any other electrical device attached to the system, such as a metal burr, loose screw, metal rod, or any other object that could cause a short.

Probleem hier is dat de brander dus in PIO mode werkt in plaats van UDMA mode 2. Het heeft geen zin om de UDMA setting op DMA if Available te zetten want als je goed kijkt op het plaatje zie je dat de current mode (de gebruikte mode dus) op PIO staat. Wanneer je PIO gebruikt krijg je zeker weten problemen aangezien deze mode veel te langzaam is voor DVD recorders. Wat je moet doen is het IDE kanaal waar je brander op zit verwijderen uit systeembeheer, rebooten en checken of UDMA mode 2 aan staat. Verwijderen kan geen kwaad, wanneer je reboot zal Windows de drive opnieuw herkennen en hopelijk DMA weer aanzetten.

Ik heb ondertussen het probleem al opgelost.

Zoals DennisG zegt heb ik mijn IDEcontroller verwijderd (letwel de gene waar mijn brander opzat, en niet mijn OS) en vervolgens in het bios in het eerste scherm zat IDE Channel Propertie's o.i.d vervolgens kan je daar kiezen uit 3 optie's, waarvan één iets in de trand van : gebruik allebei. Dit heb ik gedaan en hij werkt naar behoren!
