Ik ben bezig om een een IP adres te veranderen op een Novell netware 6.5 server.
Ik kan alleen de juiste documentatie hier niet, ik kan het ook niet vinden op de site van Novell( support.novell.com ) daar is wel wat te vinden over 6.0 maar dat werkt niet bij 6.5

Iemand enig idee

Je weet dus niet hoe het moet. Cursus ???

inetcfg en je autoexec.ncf en nog wat plaatsen als je gebruikt maakt van imonitor, apache etc etc

en lees de documentatie eens goed door. of probeer het op de fora

3.4.1 Changing the IP Address of the NetWare 6.5 Server Using IP Address Management

If you use IP Address Management to change the IP address of the NetWare 6.5 server where ZENworks for Desktops 4.0.1 Workstation Inventory is installed, the following functionality will not work:

* Sybase* Inventory database.
* Inventory Reports.
* Inventory services (if the ZENworks Database object is configured by using the IP address instead of the DNS name)
* Roll-up of scan data from lower-level Inventory servers to this server (if the Roll-Up policy of the associated lower-level inventory servers is configured by using the IP address instead of the DNS name)

Use the following steps to resolve this issue:

1.

If the Inventory database is running on Sybase:
1.

Edit sys:\system\mgmtdbs.ncf to change the IP address of the -n parameter to the new IP address.
2.

In ConsoleOne, right click the database object.
* If the ZENworks Database object is configured to use the IP address instead of the DNS name, then in the ZENworks Database property page, change the IP address in the Server IP Address or DNS Name field to the new IP address.
* In the JDBC Driver Information property page, change the IP address in the Database Service Name field to the new IP address.

3.

Restart the Sybase Inventory database.

Restart the Inventory services.

If the scan data is rolled up to this Inventory server:
1.

Change the IP address of the destination Inventory server and the proxy server (if configured) in the Roll-Up policy of the associated lower-level Inventory servers to the new IP address.

Restart the Inventory services on the associated lower-level Inventory servers.

Hallo Butt0n,

Lees voor je een topic opent graag eens de NOS policy - updated 22/09/2004 door. Dit topic gaat dicht, omdat ik me sterk maak dat echt zeer eenvoudig uit te vinden moet zijn hoe zoiets simpels als het veranderen van een IP adres precies moet.

Daarnaast is de topictitel incompleet (hij beschrijft niet wat het probleem is) en zie ik in de 4 regels die je topicstart lang is meer dan een handvol taal/slordigheids-fouten. Om dat soort dingen te voorkomen is de 'Bekijk bericht' knop uitgevonden, gebruik die dan ook
