[laptop toshiba] Waar vind ik het geheugen?

Ik heb zitten zoeken en alles aan de onderkant losgeschroefd, maar ik kan geen locatie vinden waar het geheugen bij mijn Toshiba 4000cdt-lappie zit.
Op internet vind ik alleen de prijzen... maar repair-manuals oid niet...
Ik heb me laten vertellen dat je het toetsenbord eruit kan halen. Maar duidelijke aanwijzingen waren er niet. Hij moet tenslotte nog niet kapot!

Wie helpt me, want 32 mb is me te weinig!

32 MB ram in je laptop?
Dat klinkt als EDO-RAM, mocht je vinden waar je het kan uitbreiden, zal je denk ik niet eens aan bankjes kunnen komen.
Zou eerst opzoek gaan of het uberhaut te upgraden is die laptop

Bekijk eens de bovenkant. Onder het toetsenbord is vaak een logische plek. Ik heb mijn laptop ook helemaal open geschoefd totdat een vriend van mij die tip gaf

er gaat dus 66 MHz SD ram in.. lijkt mij idd vrij lastig om nog aan te komen, behalve via Toshiba zelf..

Ja, precies, die tip kreeg ik ook. Maar waar moet ik pulken? Zit er een knopje, schuifje, schroefje?
Of is het gewoon grof de schroevendraaier ertussen?

Ik heb ooit een Toshiba 4000 in mijn handen gehad. Ik kan wel aan het geheugen komen maar erin bouwen heb ik even snel gekeken bij iemand anders die het deed voor mij maar het zag eruit dat die onder het toetsenbord aan het werken was door volgens mij boven het toetsenbord stukje los te maken maar ik weet niet waar. Daarna kreeg die het toetsenbord los en dan erin en klaar. Ik heb hier nog een defect Toshiba 4000 liggen en daar heb ik gekeken maar zo snel kan ik het ook niet zien. Ik heb hier het geprobeerd maar mij lukt het niet zo snel om deze te demonteren. Ik heb dus wel nieuw geheugen voor deze laptop gekocht maar het bleek later dat deze echt defect was.

Ik weet niet hoeveel je er in wil doen maar ik heb nog wel wat uit een Tecra PII 233 liggen. Gratis af te halen in Groningen.

Je kan boven bij het toetsenbord die grijze rand weghalen.... er zitten aan de bovenkant van het toetsenbord kleine gleufjes bij de grijze rand, die kan je eraf trekken, doe het allemaal wel voorzichtig.

Installing a memory module
The memory module installs into the memory expansion connector that you access from the underside of the computer. You need a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the memory module cover.

Open the Start menu and click Shut Down.
Windows 98 displays the Shut down Windows dialog box.
Select Shut down, then click OK to shut down the computer.
Windows 98 shuts off the computer.
If you are running the computer on AC power, unplug the AC adapter from the AC outlet.

CAUTION: Installing a memory module while the computer is connected to an AC power source can damage the computer, the memory module or both.
Close the display panel and disconnect all cables connected to the computer.
Turn the computer upside down.
Locate the memory module cover. If you need help, see Underside.
Remove the two screws securing the memory module cover.


Removing the memory module cover

Remove the memory module cover and set it aside.

CAUTIONS: Static electricity can damage the memory module. Before you handle the module, touch a grounded metal surface to discharge any static electricity you may have built up.

Do not touch the connectors on the memory module or on the computer. Debris on the connectors can cause memory access problems.

Place the memory module in the memory expansion connector at a 45-degree angle, aligning the memory module's connector with the memory expansion connector.

HINT: The memory module only fits one way.
Gently press the free edge of the memory module into the connector until the latches snap, securing the memory module into place.


Placing the memory module into the memory expansion connector

Reposition the memory module cover and reinstall the two screws to secure the cover.
Turn the computer over.
Reconnect and turn on any peripheral devices that were disconnected from the computer.
If you want to power the computer using AC power, connect the AC adapter to the computer and plug the power cable into an AC outlet.
Press the power button to boot the computer.
When you turn on your computer, it automatically recognizes the new memory configuration.
Removing a memory module
The memory module is accessed from the underside of the computer. You need a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the memory module cover.

To remove the memory module:

Remove the memory module cover. For instructions, see steps 1 through 8 of Installing a memory module.
Gently press the latches on both sides of the memory module to release the module from the connector.
The memory module pops partially out of the connector.

Carefully remove the module from the connector.

NOTE: Do not touch the connectors on the memory module or on the computer. Debris on the connectors can cause memory access problems.
Position the memory module cover on the bottom of the computer. Secure the cover using the two screws removed earlier.
Reconnect and turn on any peripheral devices that were disconnected from the computer.
Connect the AC adapter to the computer and plug the power cable into an AC outlet.
Press the power button to boot the computer.
When you turn on your computer, it automatically recognizes the new memory configuration.

Het is gelukt de plaats voor de extra Mb te vinden. Super simpel !! In 10 seconden als je het weet... :-)

Boven de F-knoppen zit een plastic strook van 1 cm breed over de gehele lengte . Die strook wip je er af met een klein mesje of iets in die geest. En daarna schuif je zo het toetsen bord naar boven er af. Onder het toetsenbord zit een ruimte voor de extra print.

Thanks! Nu nog even simmetjes scoren...


PS. sorry abbadon, ondanks dat er wel 4000cdt bij staat, zit er bij mij aan de onderzijde geen luikje... dus, geen dus...
