The GBA Movie Player enables you to use your Gameboy Advance™ or Gameboy Advance SP™ to play video and audio files and read e-books from standard Compact Flash™ cards. You can use your PC and a normal Compact Flash card reader to transfer and convert your media files to the Compact Flash cards. The included software even converts files directly from DVD to the proper GBA format. The GBA Movie Player supports 'multi tasking', meaning that you can play songs while you are reading e-books in simple text format.


The main difference to the official Nintendo licensed am3 Advance Movie Adapter is that you will be able to create your own content and play your own videos. Furthermore the am3 Advance Movie Adapter works with Smart Media, not with the cheaper Compact Flash™.

• The video is about the quality of a VCD
• It plays NES games and Music near perfectly!
• The conversion software is still a bit buggy, but I've only seen it crash while I
was working with it, not while waiting for an encode to finish. It also has the rare ability to playback GBA movies on the computer, so if you're wondering about its
ability to convert from different codecs or the general quality to expect, take it for
a spin now!
• Watching the video, even though it's at 240x160 (fullscreen) and not 352x240, it feels like watching a VCD, and normal subtitles are quite readable even
on "quick" encoding. Animation really shines on this thing, but even live action
looks good.
• You can also boost the volume REALLY high without clipping and only minor
distortion. You can feel the GBA vibrating from the sound on the higher settings.
• The GBA’s sound system is kind of bad in the first place, and this unit does an
impressive job with it. The sound is loud and clear even if it won’t win any awards

• Overall, it’s just a little rough around the edges, but for the price, it’s absolutely
amazing!

Ik wil 'm namelijk ook aanschaffen, alleen vroeg me af hoeveel een gecomprimeerd filmpje (.gbm, dacht ik) aan ruimte inneemt als het een 700mb filmpje betreft (xvid) ?

Het lijkt me ook wel heeft tof en voor de prijs lijk je het niet meer te hoeven laten. Ik wacht nog heel ff de ervaringen af en anders bestel ik in de loop van de volgende week ook maar zo'n unit

Hij is inmiddels binnen. Conversie duurt superlang hier en de kwaliteit is verre van geweldig. Animatiefilms zien er extreem goed uit, gewone films stotteren nog wat. Ik ga wat spelen met settings enzo, maar ik had gehoopt dat de conversie wat sneller ging....
