Iemand ervaring met XRamp SSL certificaten?

Blablablablabla, spam spam spam... of is het toch interessant? Dat wil ik dus weten, want het scheelt wel behoorlijk.

Worden die certificaten gewoon geaccepteerd door alle browsers (dat je geen meldingen krijgt)? Iemand ervaringen met het bedrijf? Niemand die ik spreek lijkt het bedrijf te kennen..

Kijk gewoon in je root certificate store of hun CA certificaat erbij staat. Ik kan me niet herinneren dat ik er XRamp bij heb zien staan. Vraag anders of ze een willekeurig certificaat kunnen sturen wat zij ondertekend hebben, of naar het adres van een testsite. Als ze een serieus bedrijf zijn zullen ze die vast hebben.

Dat klopt. Maar xramp is een SUB CA. Deze is weer gesigned door een Root CA (GlobalSign Root CA, GlobalSign RootSign partners CA en daaronder staat de xramp CA) die wel in jou lijst staat.

Ik heb zelf geen ervaringen met xramp. Maar de prijs is goed. Je moet even kijken (en heel goed lezen) naar hun certificate policy. Wat wordt er ondersteund. Ik weet dat VeriSign (de dure) ook voor financiele transacties iets heeft staan in hun policy. Vandaar dat Verisign duur is.

Ik denk dat voor een simpele website die niet voor financiele transacties gebruikt wordt maar bv alleen webmail dit een optie is waar ik de volgende keer naar ga kijken.

Ik heb de policy even gelezen en er staat wel wat beschreven over de financiele mogelijkheden van de SSL connectie. Ik weet alleen niet of ze het waar kunnen maken. Wat ik van Verisign dus wel weet dat ze het nakomen.
