[XP] Windows XP update werkt niet*

Aangezien ik in geen tijden meer een melding van de automatic update had gehad, heb ik maar handmatig SP2 geinstalleerd. Daarna ben ik toch nog even gaan kijken waarom ik geen meldingen krijg van relevante updates. Alles staat netjes aangevinkt dat ik een melding hoor te krijgen.

Wanneer ik naar de windowsupdate site ga krijg ik de volgende melding:

Bezig met zoeken naar de nieuwste versie van de Windows Update-software...

Afhankelijk van de verbindingssnelheid kan dit een paar minuten duren. In deze tijd kunt u een of meer beveiligingswaarschuwingen ontvangen. Bekijk elke waarschuwing om te controleren of de inhoud is ondertekend door Microsoft en klik vervolgens op Ja om de software te installeren.

Deze melding krijg je standaard en na een paar seconden krijg je normaliter een overzicht van de beschikbare updates. Echter gebeurt dit tegenwoordig bij mij niet meer. Na deze melding gebeurt er niets.

Ik heb geprobeerd met microsoft te bellen, maar zij vonden het nodig om mij 20 minuten in de wacht te laten staan.

Weet iemand hoe ik dit probleem kan oplossen? BVD

Heb het geprobeerd maar het werkt helaas niet.

edit: Het is ook zo dat de update niet bij 0% stopt, maar direct al (voor dat ie gaat scannen)

Het lijkt mij dat je een internet connectie probleem hebt.

Probeer eens ping naar de update site.
Een tracert kan misschien ook helpen.

Ik heb hier zelf ook een heel raar probleem hiermee.

Versie 4 van Windowsupdate werkt goed, alhoewel ik via een omweg er moet komen.

Maar versie 5 wil hier niet connecten, hij komt met snelle instalatie e.d druk ik op en dan komt er dat zoekding tevoorschijn. En een tijdje later krijg ik een foutmelding met een foutcode die inhoud dat hij geen verbinding kan maken met...
Dan doe ik een nslookup op de server en dan zegt ie Unknown host daarna probeer ik Windowsupdate v4 te nslookuppen en dan doet hij het ook niet.

Hebben meer mensen dit probleem?

Heeft TS inmiddels het probleem opgelost.... ben erg benieuwd! Heb namelijk eenzelfde probleem.
