[XP] Crash na XP sp2, drwtsn32 error*

Hallo,

Ik heb zopas sp2 geinstalled, alles ging lekker. Ik heb voor de verandering eens zonealarm + antivirus erop gezet ipv norton. Denk dan werkt ie minder sloom.

Nadat ik de sp2 firewall heb ge-disabled ,zodat ik van zonealarm gebruik kan maken, probeer ik een .zip file vanaf mijn bureablad uit te pakken met winrar.. helaas, alles slaat vast...
Ik kijk onder processen en zie dat drwtsn32.exe hangt, ik kill het en run het middels start>> uitvoeren>> drwtsn32 .. kijk in het log bestand geeft ie aan:

Echter, telkens als ik rechtermuisklik op een .zip/rar file blijft ie hangen. Ik kan enkel verder als ik drwtsn32.exe middels processen uitschakel...

-Heb al verschillende winrar versies geprobeerd <register opgeschoond>
-Heb zonealarm antivirus erover gehad
-Adaware 1.04 erover gehad

Alles geen succes, ik heb een powerquest img van een week terug (gelukkig) maar dat is nog geen optie omdat ik dit graag opgelost zou zien.

Ik kon men post niet editten maar het probleem kwam door de nvidia driver. Ik gebruikte de laatste, door de update van sp2 kreeg die daar een conflict (met de fx 5600 driver) waardoor mijn bureaublad niet meer funtioneerde.

Tevens mijn pctv rave die het niet meer deed maar dat kwam door quicktime, nadat ik deze had verwijderd deed die laatste het weer..

Affijn, ik heb men image teruggezet en de oude driver geinstalleerd en hatsikidee alles werkt weer als vanouds..

Ik heb ook hetzelfde probleem gehad. Vastloper als ik met de tweede muisknop op een bestand klikte. DrWatson error logs... etc... Gelukkig heb ik een mogelijke oplossing op het internet gevonden

OPLOSSING:

Via een franstalig forum ben ik erachter gekomen dat er een conflict kan bestaan tussen een DivX versie en het Windows Service Pack 2 .

Op de site www.divx.com kun je de nieuwste release downloaden die wel compatibel schijnt te zijn met het Windows Service Pack 2.

Zelf gaat mijn computer nu door het leven zonder slechte software als DivX!
