Problemen met printen via netwerk.

Ik heb een hp710 en wil ook via een netwerk (tcp/ip, crosslink) met dat aparaat printen. Maar als ik de printer geinstalleerd heb op de pc die via het netwerk moet printen dan kan er geen printer gevonden worden.
ik heb printer sharing aanstaan en de printer word op het netwerk herkend.

Wie weet hoe ik dit oplos?

Heb je toevallig een firewall aanstaan?

Klik met de rechtermuisknop in netwerkomgeving op de printer. Kies printerpoort toewijzen en wijs een poort toe (lpt1, 2 oid). Installeer daarna de standaard win98 drivers voor je printer.

Ik heb geen firewall aan en windows heeft geen standaard drivers voor die printer.

De hp 710 kan officieel niet als netwerk printer werken.
maar het kan wel dan deel je de printer.
en op de andere computer instaleer je de software en instellen dat hij de printer poort van de andere pc gebriukt dan werkt het wel

If you get error messages like "Communication was Lost" or "File waiting to Print" when you attempt to print to a networked HP DeskJet 720C, try this fix:

With the printer connected locally to one PC (host) and set up as shared, go to another PC (client) on the network and install the driver (version 10.3 is fine) using the HP install files/disk like this:

Go through the install steps and when it tries to locate a port, let it use LPT1 as appears in the box. After the software install, right click on the HP printer icon that was just created in the Printers group. Click Properties, then Details. In the "Print to the following port:" box, you want it to have the path to your host's printer, such as \\host\HP720C Click on Capture Printer Port... In the Device box, select LPT1 In the Path box, click the down arrow and you should see the \\host\HP720C address. Click on it to select it. Put a checkmark in the Reconnect at Logon box. Click OK. Now click the down arrow in the Print to the following Port: box, where it currently shows \\host\HP720C Click on the LPT1 :(\\host\HP720C) Once the new port, i.e., "LPT1 :(\\host\HP720C)" appears in the box, click on Apply. Click the General tab at the top of the window, and then click Print test page and hopefully then click on YES, since you should have a successful test printout from the HP720C across the network!
